Please please don’t take keeping ducks lightly they are flock birds,they attach to whoever they first see and follow them round it’s not fair to then expect them to be a ‘pet’ who can be left and if you have one you need several you wouldn’t be able to go and buy just one on its own as breeders know this.They also ideally need water to bathe and swim in and a lot of land as they make a LOT of mess.

My friend had a duckling that she raised and it was so lonely and sad when she wasn't around. They definitely need a buddy to imprint on, as otherwise they imprint on the human and follow you around and get super sad and vocal when the person is gone (even just going shopping etc). That's just the experience I've seen anyways!
