I'm grateful to have found this film here. For those of us local musicians with a passion for the mid-60's sound, but too young to get into the clubs in NYC just yet, being stuck on Long Island was just awful. It was a musical wasteland. As such, having access to seeing The Mosquitos now and then was a real treat. When the opportunity came, I fled LI for greener musical pastures in Boston and the midwest, where there was far broader appreciation for beat music and the new sounds emerging at that time - much of which was clearly influenced by the British Invasion. My hat's off to Vance and the boys for being a hopeful beacon during the dark days of hair bands, southern rock and worse. Cheers, lads!
I Was So jealous of These Guys, We Played the Same Venue Booked By Their Manager, Thought My Band Was Together Until I Saw Them !!! Blown Away Really...Theme So Strong, BrotherHood Bond...Cool As Ever. Think We Opened For em ? Not Sure Yeah Mosquitos
