Rewilding landscapes across Europe | The example of the Velebit Mountains, Croatia

Today there has never been a greater need to scale up rewilding. Allowing nature to recover breathes new life into landscapes and generates a whole range of positive impacts, with healthier, more functional ecosystems and thriving wildlife populations helping to deliver benefits for nature and people.
Presented in June 2023 at the congress of European Lotteries in Šibenik, Croatia, this video highlights the efforts by the Rewilding Velebit team as an example of rewilding in Europe.
Unrestricted funding from the Dutch Postcode Lottery, which has supported Rewilding Europe since 2011, has been instrumental to the growth and impact of our initiative, and pays testament to the success of our rewilding efforts.

I had been planning on volunteering for Rewilding Europe this year. Unfortunately I had to adjust my plans a bit. But it's one of the reasons I'm going back to school and gonna start studying environmental monitoring in the fall.
Hope to volunteer for Rewilding Europe during the semester breaks.
