You got a small glimpse of Morbihan gulf! That's great! But really a small one... Too bad. But it takes time to see more of it all of course! Just as Brest, Lorient is not your typical touristic destination as it also was massively destructed by mass bombing and heavy combats during World War II (Lorient being the last city liberated in Europe, even totally freed after the end of the war in Europe as communication were broken between the germans in the largest and most strategical submarine base here and the rest of their troups). But! It's one of the most touristic city of Brittany, thanks to the Inter-celtic festival that takes place there every year for two weeks. It gathers artists, musicians, craftmen, and cuisine from all the celtic nations. And it's something you have to participate to once in your life. I swear.
Yes I agree. We only had time to barely scratch the surface. We’d love to come back to Bretagne and see what else this beautiful region has to offer. Thanks for these great recommendations!
That's wild to embark on that hiking trail to end up at such a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. What a gorgeous home! The views along the Wild Coast are gorgeous. That picnic of cider and ice cream is heavenly
Luke and Tyler, thank you for sharing your travels! Very impressive French pronunciation! 👍 I loved all your choices: public transportation travel (although I gather not always by design), pink granite coast, Menhirs, etc. I do have a question: do you specify anywhere the details of that charming cottage? I am planning a trip this fall and I'd like to try it. Thanks!
I really enjoyed your video especially when I am homesick. I was born in Brest but my family is from the Crozon peninsula.. I am kind of glad you did not get a chance to advertise Crozon, the crowding in the summer has become overwhelming...
I live in Brittany and get a bit peeved that visitors only visit the coastal towns, there are some beautiful villages and towns more inland, like Josselin, Guemene sur scorff and the city of Rennes has a beautiful town centre and old quarter.
Guemene sur scorff has a rich history which a lot was lost in the 70's when they demolished alot of the castle because of a stupid government grant that was given out to people to build new houses, it's only in recent years they realised that was a mistake and now they are restoring their history, guemene has one of the oldest running inn/bar in the whole of brittany dated back to the 17th century
Hello, Luke and Tyler, with pandemic end in site, there is hope in sight for travel again. I really enjoyed three of your videos this morning. Looking forward to viewing more for travel ideas. What is the name or address of that beautiful airbn'nb in the countryside? Thanks Sue
I would also love to know this! Thanks for the great video. We were browsing UA-cam for ages for a travel guide to Brittany and yours is far and away the best!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. That’s good to know about summer crowding on the Crozon peninsula.

Brittany is on our list to visit again so we’ll definitely add those towns to our must-see places for when we return 😊
