Great video! I just finished DT and loved the ending. 😀 I’m happy to hear you are a fan of Peter Hamilton’s. I’ve heard mixed opinions on his writing, but eventually, I want to get to the Commonwealth saga. I’ve only read the 1st 2 books in the Stormlight Archive; I wanna get to book 3, but I am reluctant because of the huge page count 😂
@@bartsbookspace Thank you so much! Haha yeah Stormlight can certainly drag through those thousands of pages. I would be very interested to hear your opinion on Hamilton , I don't see too many people talking about him. I've only read the 2 Commonwealth books but really loved them.
I’m working through A Clash of Kings now, so I have A Storm of Swords up next, and your discussion certainly added to my already-building excitement for it.
@@RandomReadingPathways And this is your first time? I am jealous! I wish I could read it for the first time again. I hope nobody has spoiled anything for you.
Great list. I read The Stand when I was about 15, but it would have been the slightly shorter version he released prior to 1990. It was still a long book, but I loved it. I also read Shogun only a few short years later. It was a great beach read, but it's hard to believe I used to lug around such big books and think nothing of it. So glad we get the digital choice these days. 💜
Big books are really satisfying once they're done. If they're good then even better. Sometimes while reading them though I'm like "We're still doing this?!" I don't read too many lovely juicy books though honestly beyond the Stormlight Archive so maybe I'll need to try something on your list. The Commonwealth Saga perhaps because I want to read more SciFi. Thanks for the list!
@@SeaninsShelf I do love how a large book can really delve into worldbuilding, plot or character building, but they have to be well done otherwise it is a pure slog. If you want some long but not Commonwealth long suggestions I can help with that too!
Great list, bought Peter Hamilton's books last month, I hope to read them next year! Please note The Gathering Storm is only book 12 in Wheel of Time, A Memory of Light is the final book 🙂
@@allthekingsbooks hahahaaaaa what an idiot I am. I do know that but I picked up the wrong book, if you look on my shelves at the right I have the one I meant to pick up. I then was just in the flow of rambling and didn't notice, still talking about A Memory of light. How embarassing 🥹 Thanks for pointing it out though. I hope you enjoy the Hamilton!
Yeeeeeah I know. I tried putting a disclaimer in the description but of course most people don't see that 😅 This is why I say 'with much further ado' because I am liable to embarassing mistakes! I was just in full flow, picked up the wrong book and continued to talk about A Memory of Light having picked up The Gathering Storm. Thanks for watching though :)

@@heathergoldsmith haha yeah I can't imagine taking Shogun to the beach! Digitals do make our wrists a lot happier for sure.

@@SamNot-so-wise Someone said British space opera is the best, so I gotta see that confirmed!
So, do you have both AMoL AND TGS as 1st edition HC? 😲
@@allthekingsbooks I do!! And not just that, I have A New Spring as well!
Haha, please bear in mind that video is meant as fairly tongue in cheek ;)
Great video but the Gathering Storm is not the last book in the Wheel of Time
