@@clayp6090 The big knock on mahomes was turnovers. He had Favre syndrome where he would force the ball into tight windows because he knew he had the juice and that resulted in A LOT turnovers. Plus he was a big 12 qb, and those historically are dog water in the nfl (same with Ohio State and Alabama qbs but can't say that)

Maybe not in highschool, but dude tossed for like 9.5k yards in 2 years, with like 70 TDs, he knew he was going to the NFL lol. he was also considered a top 15 player in his draft by everyone, his issue was int's, if he had fewer he would have been the 1st over all. I can't find anyone from his draft year saying anything bad other than "he's a big 12 qb that's where the yards come from" and "he needs to reduce turnovers" So I don't get where you'd say he didn't know he was gonna be in the NFL.

I seriously doubt Holmes will be rdy to pay a QB 45- 50 MIL/YR, when he can have a rookie rdy after this next season and work the cap off that rookie deal. It's what all GM's look to do unless you have a top 5 or 6 QB. Obviously no one is going to let loose of some like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Burrow etc unless they become unhappy like Watson did.

As a Ravens fan I witnessed Lamar as a terrible passer his first year, he consistently missed and threw slants in the dirt, he has gotten so much better. Richardson base skill set gives him a chance to be special, just have to put the work in
One extremely encouraging sign from him, and Lamar when they were coming out was/is that neither of them bailed from clean pockets. You can see Richardson execute pro style concepts at UF. Where I thought he struggled the most was accuracy/timing in the short game, and blitz recognition. Pretty normal stuff for your 1st 12 starts. He goes to Indi and is allowed to develop behind my Gardner and it could be a wrap.
