He doesn't feel like it with this jet lag. Saw your UA-cam channel, always get curious when I see antiques in a name. No videos yet, planning on uploading?
Thanks! I'll try to not rush so much before my next trip so that I have enough stuff to keep posting when I am away. Every aspect of this whole thing is a learning process! Lol.
Welcome back Chris! Missed your vids and glad that you and the family are happy and healthy! Look forward to your new videos and continued building adventures.
Never have I ever been so excited to see a video… Awesome! Perhaps we can start doing a fundraiser to cover dumpster fees? What say the UA-cam community? Let's rally together and cover the cost of a couple of dumpsters for this awesome channel. As far as the shattered ceramics, maybe you can bust up a bunch of pieces so that they're sort of flat and then make a nice countertop out of them using epoxy?
I wish I was closer I’d go offer a hand for a couple days!! Dump fees are brutal!! I’ve heard of people digging holes and burying the trash just to get out of darn dump fees! 😬
@@Jennifermcintyre No one can go and "offer him a hand". The liability to have outside people inside the building is too steep - don't know why you people don't understand this. It has been repeated on this channel over and over......THE LIABILITY TO HAVE PEOPLE THERE IS TOO GREAT ! As far as dumping the ceramic pieces - he has already started dumping into the concrete base of the water tower - he has it covered.
My hope is that in the not so distant future I'll get it up to code then it will be a different ballgame entirely! But I am trying to think of ways to do something through the community tab to engage with people more. Maybe some live streams?
I have a cool plan for those, I want to make an outdoor feature with those and porcelain from broken toilets. Video on that soon. Is your name in reference to the band?
@@coldwarmercantile yeah it is. Met Kip in 2019, and was fortunate enough to get his autograph. He's a class act and a hell of a musician. Most people don't know he writes classical pieces and was actually nominated for a Grammy.
My pallet advice: keep the hardwood ones. They're much heavier and usually constructed more carefully. More durable for your moving needs and a better source for wood if you need some. Good luck and welcome back!
@@coldwarmercantile Indeed, that's my point. Crap pallets are disposable. Pine, etc. Good source of firewood. Oak, Hickory, Locust pallets? The ones they shipped heavy equipment on... Cabinet quality wood.
He is a very handsome little boy I can't believe how big he is getting I know it's you have them doing exercises for he can come to the states and help Dad thank you for sharing such a wonderful video of your son
Very glad to see you back on the job, Chris! Also happy for you that you got to spend some time with your son. I can perfectly understand how it feels to be away from your boy. Certainly hope you're able to find the perfect work-life balance. Cheers!!
It is a challenge for sure. I am so thankful for technology, I get to spend time with him online though it isn't the same, at least it is something. More frequent trips back and forth for the foreseeable future.
Im so glad you have had time with your baby!! I’m also glad that you are back! I’ve been cleaning out our barn and you are my inspiration! Seriously, everything thing takes time, but it’s going to be worth it!! I have been watching your building transformation; it’s tremendous! Keep on going it’s gonna be awesome!😊
Good to see you back again.. I ran into a video earlier and it reminded me of you and I realized I hadn't seen anything that you had posted lately.. Well I hope all is well with you and your family.. Be careful, take care and God Bless...
Oh, Chris, your son is so cute! Where's his dark hair? Free pallets are good fire wood. You can also make Christmas trees out of them. We missed you welcome back. Get some rest!
I admire your commitment to recycle as much as you can - and to realize any profits you can from auction sales - but if this project is causing you actual anxiety on a daily basis, it is within your grasp to resolve that. Rent a dumpster until you have cleared the place out. Sometimes we adjust our goals and plans to what is actually possible. No one will judge.
I have some videos planed on just that subject! There is so much straight trash that judgment free filled dumpsters will definitely be making there way to the landfill!
Family is important no need to be sorry for us not getting video content. I told my son when he was cleaning out his junk filled shop. The most valuable thing you have in here is square footage. It allowed him to scrap some metal he was hanging onto. In no time he was doing with his shop that matched his plans. And pallet wood is often number 2 grade or even number 3. And unless it is used for international shipping they are often not kiln dried. I always recommend buying sawmill lumber and letting it dry in air conditioned space. It will be 8% before you know it.
It's kind of amazing that you're tackling this entire job by yourself. Not sure how many square feet that building is, but I'd estimate at least 5K to 10K square feet. That's kind of a lot for one person. But you seem very motivated! Just glancing at it, I'd say you have at least 500 to 1,000 hours worth of work just getting the place cleaned up, i.e. getting rid of everything you don't want and sweeping the floor.
YES! I put out tons of irrigation tubing, scrap wood, other things, I need to make a free sign because people might have doubts that it is for the taking.
Great to see you back at it! I find it gets really tiring having to sift through all the boxes etc, but you're getting though it, well in this corner of the building, so don't turn around!!
Cyd in MD. Take care. We are a patient group. Between the heat and the jet lag and maybe a little bit of "baby blues" you seem low on energy. Take time to get back up to your "happy dance" speed. 🙂
Do you not have a cardboard recycling/pulping centre in town? Better than burning it IMO. Is the scrap timber able to be recycled through furniture etc renovation?
It is 500 bucks if they deliver the giant dumpster, but someone told me I can take my own trailer load for 120 bucks a ton which I will be trying soon and making a vid, as well as taking scrap to t he scrap yard.
If you have anything interesting, thats not much value and potentially in bulk, Demolition Ranch based in Texes could always make use of it for one of his How many of this thing can stop a bullit series.
Dude, you need to take on partners. This won't be a one-person operation when you get it up and running. Why do you think it will be when you're doing the hard part now?
PLEASE,..secure your tools,.....from those stinking tress passers,....or anyone else. Now that you advertised it to the whole world,....someone may try to break in and steal them. Lock 'em up, and hide them from view.
He's ALIVE!

If I lived nearby, those pallets would be gone pronto! I chainsaw them in half and make instant raised bed gardens with them.
Thats a neat idea. I have to pick my projects. but always like to hear ideas like that.
So many of us are living vicariously through you! These videos are so much fun to watch. Thank you for bringing us along on this journey with you ❤
THanks, sorry for the late reply, things have been so busy.

Spoiler alert! not much! Been overseas. But back now!
@ 00:26 Cute as hell. Gerber baby material 🙂
And just as chubby!
The one corner makes my OCD twitch. For sure those pallets will be gone , if not stick a FREE sign on them. No matter what family first though
The free sign might be a good idea, some people might hesitate not knowing. If they are still there in the morning I will make a sign.

That is what I am hoping for. I'll be posting about that sometime very shortly.
So happy to see you back but glad you got time to spend with your family the little ones grow so quickly❤from Australia
Thanks Judy! Vids will be pretty regular now! Cheers.
I keep thinking what it will be like when you get one of those floors cleared and your little guy starts running down it, lol!
Well..... Lots of lead paint work before that day. But outside in the 3 acres... definitely! but first he needs to learn to walk....

I am going to make a video about scrapping very soon. and one about hauling to the dump as well. We are on the same page.

77,000 square feet. It is pretty shocking to see firsthand. Thanks for the encouragement!
Having a dumpster delivered is a more efficient way to dispose of the garbage
But more expensive, I want to try to take some of my own loads and compare cost vs convenience. I'll keep you posted.
Hey Chris glad to see you back! on the rolling tool box? are those some little raccoon prints on the side?
Haha, yeah, up one side down the other. That will be featured in today's video later.
Has there be anything that local people would NOT pick up when you put it out front for free? Welcome back!

Family first. Do they plan on coming to the states for a bit or remaining in Poland?
We lived here previously but she got homesick so we are living there and I am going back and forth.
My brothers wife is from Japan they live 6ish months here and 6ish months there. He enjoys it there more and she enjoys it here more. Kinda weird haha
A baby and a factory remodel . Glad you're not busy.
Haha. Try not to think about it. Just keep moving!

Yeah I noticed that too when I watched it. I think todays video might be half low, then later this week back to form.
NICE TO SEE YOU BACK
IS THERE A WORKING LIFT UPDATE SOON?
There will be. Yes!
Have you had any more visitors to the building while you are not there?
We actually had a cat set off the alarms, and 10 officers showed up. they seem to be more responsive to the situation lately. That was embarrassing.

Had to check what was on at that moment. The best treasure!
Do you not have a cardboard recycling/pulping centre in town? Better than burning it IMO.

some of it I have been letting biodegrade, I think the grocery stores recycle, I will have to ask next time I am in there.
