Love how well balanced this shoe is with the white panels. Although I’m not a fan of the canvas I appreciate the art on the panels. A must cop forsure, also Im so glad that it’s the OG shape I just love how SB’s look w that shape

Always love your reviews. Agree that these could be SOTY or at least top 3. Love the details on this pair and also on your reviews. I was lucky enough to cop a pair on SNKRS. My last SNKRS cop was the AJ1 Mochas which was ages ago. I haven't had the chance to wear them yet though.

Have to agree that the toebox looks a little chunkier than normal SBs, I slipped off one of the dunks I'm wearing right now to do a comparison! Super excited to try for these, they're beautiful.

Great video! I had a question about sizing though. I noticed you said these fit a little more snug than usual. I normally wear a size 12 in my SB dunks which is my true size because 13 is just too big length wise. I have 12's in the big money savings and the deep royal (Leonardo's) and 12s work really well for me. Should i go to a 13 in these Futura's or stick with 12 since there is no 12.5?
I believe these being OG cut like the orange lobster/HUF which makes the toe a touch larger than say yuto/Crenshaw. Nice pair. Seems to be raffles everywhereeee so stock # must be high and all the talk about low is definitely to add hype and help resellers. Shops Ive never seen b4 popping up on my feed w/raffles.
The one thing i would most certainly change is the outsole. First of all i prefer the newer SB sole and second of all a non icy sole would be better. They are gonna be yellowing very quickly in the summer time - which isn’t the most pleasing thing

I would imagine that the yellow stitching might help with reinforcement for durability for flicks while skating. I could totally be wrong, especially since it’s only on the one shoe and on the medial side. As someone who rides goofy stance, I kinda wish they did it on the outer medial side for both.

To answer you not pick about the toe box shape I think it’s because these are labelled as an OG sb dunk which means it closer resembles the older Nike sb dunks main differences being a more bulky toe box and an original Nike dunk sole instead of the newer dunk low pro sole
So I copped these, have to say I went true to size & fits a bit snug but can still. wiggle toes so not uncomfortable

The different patterns on the shoes represent moments from classic Sci Fi films from the 50s-80s which inspired Futura's early work, as well as his name. Not sure what all of them mean like that thread pattern, but the red eyelet is probably a reference to HAL from 2001 a space odyssey

So I've been hearing alot of shoe of the year contender regarding these, whats interesting for me is with regards to dunks last year there were alot of huge drops, born & raised, yuto,crenshaw,Aprils the list goes on, this year dunks have been pretty quiet in comparisam, these look like a must cop don't get me wrong but I'm seeing them at the moment as a most hyped rather than straight up shoe of the year, so getting your input is very helpful as always, Thanks Sean

These are the lamest of the hyped SBs… like I’m a sucker for the hype but they’re so very meh with low grade materials.
