- An official of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa interior ministry told AFP that Chinese contractors have halted construction on two major dam projects in Pakistan after a suicide bomber killed five Chinese engineers on March 26. The official said that Chinese companies have demanded new security plans before reopening the sites. Chinese workers were targeted by a suicide bomber who rammed into their vehicle on a mountainous road, plunging their vehicle into a deep ravine. Watch

This is the first comment that makes sense. The Chinese are building roads and other infrastructure in Pakistan as part of the Belt and Road initiative. The USA views the Belt and Road project as a threat to their hegemony. The USA is sending money and weapons to the Baloch separatists in western Pakistan to engage in terrorism against the Chinese nationals working there.
