    An oldie but a goodie! I loved rewatching this and I learned even more this time. The little things you chat about are actually very instructive and helpful. Thank you for sharing your art and what’s going on in your mind when you are creating.

    I just started watching your videos and at first I wanted to hurry you up, but now I relax more and enjoy watching your thought processes unfold. This turned into a really nice cohesive piece. That last thing you did where you kind of whitewashed it really pulled it together.

    LOVE how the painted leaves are picking up the texture of the layers underneath

    I used to live in Palm Harbor! On Lake Tarpon, my sons learned to water ski on the lake!

    I love your artwork! It resonates in my heart, thank you for sharing with us. I especially like your soft voice it’s not all harsh and annoying but it’s very peaceful. Just found you recently and you have me very excited about the artwork I’m starting to produce. is there any chance you will be doing a video on how you create the backgrounds? It might seem like a dumb question but I love them so much I need a little direction. I think I’m gonna run out now and buy some oil pastels and see if that’s good for backgrounds.💗

    Hello, as I see you paint I noticed you layer most of your color. Love the way it looks on screen. Wondering if it adds to much texture that distracts from the image in reality? Is this texture part of the intention?

    Hello Suzanne, Love your creative art work very beautiful and colourful…. Love it. Just wondering when using oil pastel throughout the painting, can you work over it with gouache & acrylic? Wasn’t sure how that would work. Thank you so much for your tutorials, so helpful for us seniors who love the art of painting without too much fuss in trying to get it to work out but to be more relaxing. Thanking you again. Sylvia

      Thank you! You can put oil pastels on top of everything but painting acrylic or gouache over them doesn't work very well. Think of oil as a top layer.

    I think that adding the wash after you paint the image makes the image show up with highlights better than it would if you painted the highlight all over before :-)

      I agree! It is just a different way to try something and it depends on the medium as well.

      I would watch more of my videos or take my Skillshare classes where I cover supplies in detail. It really depends on what you want to learn to paint

    Looks beautiful but it looks like you are using acrylics or oils but they aren't included on your supply list on line. Could you name what you are using as you use them, I would like to be able to tell if I would like to take your classes. Thank. you

      Hello, For links to all the supplies I use, head to my website (link in profile ⬆️) and click supplies, you’ll be able to choose either my Amazon supply list or the Blick Art supply list. 🎨
      When you buy using these links, I receive a tiny percentage of that sale, even if you then go on and buy other things on your shopping list that aren’t art supplies. Thanks for supporting my posts/videos this way! 🙏

    Can you mix acryl gouache with regular gouache to make the regular gouache more permanent?

    • @SuzanneAllardDesign
      @SuzanneAllardDesign  2 роки тому +1

      yes, it will help it be more permanent but probably not all the way. Gesso does help regular gouache and watercolor be more permanent, you can use it as your white. I have another video showing this!
