I am currently attending Clover Park Technical College for Manufacturing Technologies and work full time for an engineering company called Fives Lund LLC as a Mechanical Tech. Definitely liking the recommendations and looking forward to reading some of these books. Thank you.
Are you familiar with any machining and/or metrology classes at Rockland Community College in NY or Bergen Community College in NJ? I’ve worked as an inspector in manufacturing since 2014 but I’d love to learn more about GD&T and the actual machining process. Thanks! Love your videos!
Hi, I am not familiar with those institutions. I’m based at Hudson Valley Community College upstate. We offer customized training offering for companies, online or in-person if your organization is interested. I’m glad you find my videos useful! I’m happy to hear working professionals are watching.
@@RDeanOdell thanks so much for getting back to me! I’ve become a big fan of yours; I wish I was in Troy because I’d totally sign up for any course you’d be teaching 👍 I’ve been inspecting since 2014 but I really wanna learn more about the machining aspect. Sometimes it’s hard to learn about this profession on your own time; I refer to it as “an old man job” cuz that’s where you learn it from, some old machinist who’s tired of standing on the shop floor lol 🤣🤣🤣 I came across your videos because the new place I’m working at has a Zeiss Contura G2 that nobody knows how to use 😬 I’m just familiar with programming PC-DMIS and after watching your videos they seem pretty similar which I was excited about. Your videos were a breath of fresh air! Keep ‘em coming lol I’ve got “The Handbook of Dimensional Measurement” in my Amazon Cart so I can get it next paycheck. Thanks again!
Hi! Yes, I have a copy of the 1982 & 1994 versions of Mr. Fosters book. In my opinion it is a quality textbook for learning GD&T and a good reference for professionals.
Hi Dean, Do you have any experience working with 3d printed parts? I’m having troubles causes with the relative freedom that this technology gives you in the design, the parts end up being quite complex to do the drawings for them
Could you link a list of all shown books for clarification purposes and your recommendations? Thanks.

Hi. Good to see you again
Hi Dean, have you bumped into the book "Geo-Metrics III" by Lowell W. Foster. If you have, what's your opinion of it?
