I've had a similar experience to what Tom said about feeling like he had just eaten a tomato for the first time in Naples. I live in Ontario, Canada, and a couple summers ago, I tried a cherry tomato from a Mennonite farm. It was like an awakening for me. Every tomato I had eaten before that was bullshit. I've been chasing that dragon ever since.

@@fussyrenovator7551 our grocery store tomatoes are flavourless because they're picked underripe for transportation purposes. You can't stack pallets of ripe tomatoes because they'll get squished. I can't wait to get my own little backyard garden going.
@@colina1330 ours are pretty bad in Winter too. Bought some the other day,, end of our Winter and they were like rocks and completely flavourless.

Got my Gozney oven 3 weeks ago and this will be the next non-pizza cook I will do!! Thanks guys. BTW - when you turn off the flame, looks like you close the front of the oven (obviously to keep the heat inside). Feels like to be optimal, one needs the front “door”. Feel free to comment.
