- I am so lucky that we didn't suffer too much damage, my thoughts go out to those who suffered severe damage and devastation from Hurricane Irma. I can't imagine what you must be going through. This is just a video to show what we went through during the Hurricane in Kissimmee, Florida. So blessed nothing awful happened and so blessed that I was with my whole family.

Aw, Sweetheart. Thank you for sharing this scary time. Your Dad and I did the same thing. We had to empty our pool 3 times during hurricane Harvey a couple weeks ago. We lost power for 8 hours. I'm glad your family was with you. It was scary when the power was out and we couldn't drain the pool. I love your Dad. Wondered why your neighbors would keep their cars out of the garage during a hurricane. Your niece is so precious. and your nephew is such a helper. So grateful you are o.k. I was practically glued to my Tv watching the updates on CNN. I was so scared for all of you but thank goodness Irma lost a lot of its power by the time it hit you. I'm so glad you're all safe. xx

Hi Claire, just watched your hurricane vlog. We were in Epcot that day and stopping in in the Beach Club.
It certainly was an experience. We sat on out balcony most of the time watching the weather.
It was really cereal to see all the lights wrapped and bins taped together and the place deserted 😱

Not trying to make light of Irma because it was such a devastating storm but beans on toast for tea, true British fighting spirit. Lol. You were so lucky not to suffer any damage. My wife and I where in Orlando in September 2004 when Ivan hit and I understand that was the first time that Disney had every close.

I am glad you are okay, so is your family. I hope Epcot, Vista Way, and all those areas associated with Walt Disney World are okay. I wish I could come down, and be with whoever. One of my old coordinators had damage to his car. But other than that, he is fine, just like everyone else I know. I am also glad you and your family are okay too.

Ah yeah it was so scary. So thankful nothing major happened near us. It could have been a lot worse. Not sure about housing but it sounds like it wasn't too damaged

So glad you didn't get much damage and you was all safe..... my grandparents villa in Kissimmee had the back door blown off 😫 no other damage tho some others on the estate got it a lot worse. So happy everyone's safe now x

We were hunkered down in Tampa. We didn't lose power but many others did.
Ah it's been an ordeal hasn't it. Glad it's not been too bad for you. It's nearly over now thankfully
Kissimmee? That would be Central Florida? So all the reports about massive floods are just in North Florida ? It doesn't appear to be flooded where you live.
before you lose power put water in bottles freeze them then if power goes out put frozen bottles next to food so it will keep food cold for a while

What subdivision are you in. We have a home in Indian Creek and have not had any word on how it made it through Irma.
