I played the PC version of this game and was like, man this would be so much better in VR. And I just randomly decided to see if they did it... and they have but also added pass through. I am definitely getting the VR version. The floating hands that you mentioned are likely to drive me insane, but with all the positives its an easy sale. Hopefully that one negative is addressed. No people being around... while it would be immersive... I dont like people lol so its not game breaking for me
I have the PC version because it was free on the Epic store recently, but I haven't tried it. It doesn't seem like it would be as fun, but if I ever get a portable PC it would be fun out in the wild. Hope you enjoy the VR version! I had a blast!
Glad I checked to see if you had a review of this one. I was really looking forward to playing it, just picked it up on a sale last night and so far it's been... a lot of laundry. lol. I get that you have to build the arcade up but... so much laundry. It seems like the days pass too fast and then I pass out in the laundromat. But you've given me hope. I'll give it another go tonight. Any longer term thoughts? Have you played much of it since this video?
Don't PASS OUT! That makes everything take longer... you get less money at the end I believe. You have to leave before closing time! But keep going, I haven't played in a while as I work 2 jobs along with the channel. I squeeze whatever gaming I can in for video production these days. Hopefully soon I'll be able to afford an editor so I can free up some time to pump out more content and play more games I just feel like playing! I want to jump back into Arcade Paradise! Such a fun game, and I wasn't doing laundry at all when I last played. Plenty of money from the machines! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@GameListPlus Ahhh... maybe that's what I've been doing wrong. It's seemed very grindy and I didn't really get that passing out might be screwing me up. I'll keep pushing on it. Thanks!!
I've been playing it for 2 days now and it's a really interesting game. Awesome video, man. I have a question, though. Do you eventually get to a point in the game where I can just spend time in the arcade and not doing laundry? Like maybe one day, I just want to play 15min of a specific arcade game, would I be able to just do that without the laundry?
Yeah absolutely! Keep going, the laundry becomes needless eventually. You make plenty off of the machines! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
Honestly I wish they would just do a laundromat simulator, who plays Old Arcades now anyways? You know I have looked everywhere for a laundrette, its like everyone has a washing machine at home now... All I have is Asteroids in my kitchen. Bummer :(
I really want to give myself the time to play this one, it's been sitting in my library for some time (got it as a present)... but I just can't seem to get past the idea to come back from work, and after doing some real world chores (including laundry) go on VR and spend some more hours grinding doing laundry again "but in VR", just to get to the part of the game I'm truly interested in (no matter how gamified it may be)... If devs include later on some patch to skip some of that, yep def I would give it a try right away, until then (at least for me) I guess it will always be easier and faster to sideload some free standalone hockey table game, or an emulator (like Age of Joy) to scratch that itch... The game looks great though!
You should give it a shot. As long as you make sure to not let yourself pass out at the end of the day in the game you will be able to get past the laundry portion of the game relatively quickly. It's worth it. And honestly, even the laundry part is fun. It's very arcade style (for laundry).
Interesting, that happens to me with call of duty games! I can't even watch other people play it. I got a little nausea when I played Arcade Paradise in VR but the comfort settings helped a ton. I also got used to making smoother movements. Also once you start playing the arcade games more and more, there's less and less movement to make you nauseous. Thanks for watching and bringing up that element!
This happened to me with resident evil village non vr , I litteraly had to look up and see if I was the only one and found out I wasn't, not sure what fully causes this
@@ThatDorkyReviewShow one of my upcoming videos is all about VR sickness, why it happens and how to avoid it etc. It's the same with non-VR games. Keep your eyes peeled for it, it'll be out soon.
out free right now on epic game store...and yes as he said, sooner than later you can just play games and do no chores...except trash still builds up.(pc version...no goofy hands floating about, and is controller capable...you do have to finish the tutorial to get the save and exit option in the pda. ) the game is already 2 years old by the way...just the vr port is recent.
It IS free on the epic store for a couple more days... Although I only played it in VR, I can def recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a headset! Great game!
I'd happily pay a little extra for a DLC that has NPCs and Co-op or multiplayer (and fix the hands issue). Only because I know smaller games like this arent money hungry and evil, the dlc money would go into developing the features of the DLC.
Lol it's actually really fun. Just when the laundry starts to get monotonous you have more and more games to play that aren't laundry that makes laundry irrelevant. It's a strangely satisfying experience.
What's your favorite retro game?
Dragon’s Lair and Ghost and Goblins, although, to be fair, I was really bad at playing both, so I mostly watched other people play them.
Thank you for Reviewing Arcade Paradise VR and you can't go wrong with some Space Invaders.
@@SchrijverMarcel haha nice. Yeah it was so expensive to actually play then lose quickly
@@WiredP my pleasure! Thanks for such a great game! Still loving it!
Dragon's Lair and Galaga

Great professional review format.
Thanks so much!
Ive grown to like woodgirl jr. Stupid sam keeps challenging me and our rivalry has brought my high score to crazy levels.
I DO NOT like that game lol. But I'm glad you are killing it! Break it! Haha

I played this game on flatscreen and its the first flatscreen game to ever make me feel sick and i dont know why

Great review! Does it play good sitting down?
Thank you! Yes, I definitely prefer it sitting to standing for sure!
@@GameListPlus thanks, I appreciate your response. I couldn’t find any reviews that mention sitting or standing. Going to get this tonight.
Nice I am waiting for the psvr2 version.
Nice! Definitely a lot of fun in VR!
@@GameListPlus nice it comes out next week for psvr2 and the trophy list has already gone live on PSN trophies.

Arkanoid not Araknoid :)
No spiders involved
Hahaha oh man, I've been getting that wrong my whole life 🤣. Thank you.

nice review!

Pre-ordered it!
Nice! It's quite addictive lol make sure you don't forget to do your real laundry! 😂
It's kind of a shame there are no NPCs. Next level would be multiplayer

I just bought it and tried to refund it....
But now I'm stuck with it....
Well dam😁
Push past the laundry part, it's a great game! Don't let yourself pass out in the game you lose a quarter of your earnings for the day!
@@GameListPlus thanks for the video and the tip 💯😊

Lol, you'll start with laundry, but quickly you'll ignore them untill they are gone completely.
