One of the biggest proofs that the Qur'an is the word 'God' is the mathematical and numerical mentioning and positioning of particular words within the Qur'an. There is an intricate, interwoven tapestry of words that fit together in a very sophisticated somewhat seemingly disordered but actually ordered structured form of words. If a single word was to be taken out the balance of words would be lost. It's as if there is a pool of words within the universe and 'God' has gone for the most perfect word choice for each verse of each section of each chapter of the Qur'an. The Qur'an can't be altered in anyway as this would effect it's harmony and synchronicity. To have that amount of structural, linguistic and mathematical miracles and who knows about the many unknowns it is impossible that an honest, truthful beautiful man of character who not forgetting to mention a long awaited and anticipated final prophet would be capable of producing something like that of the Qur'an let alone anyone else. How can anyone deny this book?
The very scientific and methodological way of referencing the entire book back to credible sources right back to The Prophet is satisfactory and gives proof to the Ummah. But regardless, God has created man infallible and man is quite capable still of making errors, so it's only God himself to take it upon himself to preserve this perspicuous book.

This is a very satisfactory explanation for any open minded individual. For me, this showcases the meticulous manner in which Quranic preservation was handled
I found the point about abrogation which Br.Ali used to be very interesting, but I think the issue with that is that it would be too exhaustive to claim abrogation for all the Ahruf that one comes by. This argument can be used for centralized examples, but it does not have the explanatory scope to explain the whole narrative
I would definitely agree with the conclusion of this session that the view of Al-Tabari is the most comprehensive and has the most explanatory scope/power. It’s straight forward and makes life way more easier SubhanAllah

It’s hilarious how they act like it’s a top Muslim secret.
These people who believe that it’s a secret couldn’t even tell if a Qur’an recitation was a variant with their ears.
I went on a Ka’ba livestream and they causally had someone reciting a variant reading of the Qur’an. No big deal.
And you can go on other areas on UA-cam and you’ll reciters with variant readings receiving millions of views.

As much as I love Ali Dawah, please cut out the ridiculous segments where he gets carried away as if this is his own channel. This is Sapience and the conversation needs to have a more serious undertone. You do not know who could be watching these clips and not everyone is a fanboy or follows him closely to know that he is a friend of the institute.
Try to understand what I am saying. Please restrict these lessons to serious students only. I say this whilst trying be as respectful to him as possible.

It wasn’t a bit my brother. If it was, I genuinely wouldn’t have commented. If you watched the whole thing, at one point he gets too carried away and you can see the discomfort in Hijab’s face after he laughs it off. I’m not trying to read too much into it, but just saying that in such a serious topic, don’t get carried away. This isn’t a podcast. This is a teacher-student setting and the topic being discussed is too serious.
I agree with you to an extent, however another way to look at it is that this topic needs to be made available for the masses.. so Ali is a good measuring stick, as no disrespect to him, he is not academic, if he can understand then the masses can as well

Wait, Tabari is considered as part of the salaf? I thought he had learned from them like say Imam Malik or Imam Hanafi did?
If ahruf are what I think they are (which are dialects) then I don’t get it, how can you get different dialects from 1 dialect?
In other words, how can you get the 7 ahruf from the uthmanic manuscript that contained only 1 ahruf (qurayshi)?
Uthmān رضي الله عنه told the scribes to write the 'words' in Qurayshi dialect. The differing arose when they came across the word "تابوت" (Tabut). Abu Darda, being from Madinah, wanted to write "Tabut" with a "ة" at the ending whilst the other scribes, being from Makkah themselves, wanted to write it with "ت" at the end. So Uthmān just ordered them to write the word in the Qurashi dialect, (i.e with a ت)
Actually you can get different dialects from one dialect for example in Egypt nowadays you'll find different Egyptian dialects (not major pronunciation differences) just depending on the area, also same thing in parts of England and Canada

I have not departed from the Commandments of His Lips, and I made them known! John is the Messenger of Allah, a bearer of Good News - a Warner, and the Seal of the Prophets! As Allah lives in Whose presence my soul stands, he who steals honor is worthy of greater punishment, than he who robs a man of goods! Why have you done this? Why have you wronged me? None is righteous that does this thing, for this deed is evil in the sight of Allah. Do not do so! To him let it be given, for it is his! It is ordained and written in the Heavenly Tablets!
Who has done this evil in my House and defiled her? Let them bring forth their witnesses to justify them! Who among them can declare this? They know not nor do they discern. The third tongue has taken many captive, and he who listens to it shall not find rest! Many have fallen by the edge of the sword, but not as many as has fallen through the tongue! So make doors and bolts for your mouths - you make bolts for your silver and gold!
O John! The Lord sent me before you to set things in order that many people might live! Help the wronged - who walk before Allah’s face, and serve Him alone. In you shall the seed of Abraham become illustrious, and you shall prove to be a blessing on the earth! Be you Housekeeper instead of me, and go forth and fight for Our Nation! They may think this order of things to be very particular. But it is only to answer the will of Allah, by conforming to the ordinance and preparation that the Lord ordained - before the foundation of the World!

@@kabhussain3113 He points out issues with 1 harf is enough argument. His view is all 7 ahruf are preserved since Allah said he revealed the zikr and he will preserve it. Theres more to this but i will have to relook at the book to further explain why 1 harf argument isnt the best

7:43 minute .... We need two witnesses for a specific verse . Ok how do we establish the truthfulness of those two individuals. We establish it based on the Quran and sunnah . Verses indicating the companions of the prophet are people of trust and ahadith establishing their مناقب . Now when what you are trying to do is to prove the authenticity of the Quran and sunnah in its totality by using the authenticity of those who have conveyed it whose authenticity is extracted from the Quran and sunnah itself .... Why is this a circular argument. ???
