In this lesson the student will get practice taking basic derivatives in calculus 1.
I have been running away from Math for over 50 years. Thank you so very much for opening up this world for me. Somehow, it makes me feel more connected to something bigger than myself.
Well said. Thanks Jim!
Sir, I m from India ,I am a house wife, I learned calculus 20 yes ago, now I have forgotten many of those, thanks for yr help.
huge respect to u
wow
Lady, we are of the same age then.
I am entirely with you in your opinion ... Its of great help in brushing up the knowledge of the calculus ... Frankly I found it very difficult to understand calculus during my school & college time
..thanks a million for making calculus so simple to understand 👍😊
I really appreciate you doing this. It's helping me build my confidence. Im very visual and you've done that for me
Sir, your videos are fantastic. You clear all the basic concepts about Physics and Mathematics. We students always need great teachers like you Sir. Dear Sir, can you please give all of your lectures free of cost like Khan Academy is doing? Because most of the students can't afford to pay you, so they can't get your best education videos.
I totally agree👌👌👌
@@fromexoplanet21 are you an engineering student?
I appreciate how you simplify things. In my opinion every other math tutor is just rushing through the syllabus. You are actually teaching, keep it up. Thank you 👍
I love your videos; they express the concepts very easily and it is perfect for a person who is beginning along side someone who is in need of clarifications.
I am in high school now preparing for AP Physics 1 and I know i need to have basic concepts of calculus, so I found these videos and they are so clear. I love math and physics, so I've been watching physics videos non-stop alongside math videos and I came over this one in my suggestions.
Thank you for these videos!
I'm 39 yrs old, never took calculus and going back to school .. you have helped me build my confidence thank you so much!!
LOL I'm 41yrs old and doing calculus for the first time too... wished I had paid more attention in high school
IM 54!! Life would have been much different for me had these videos been available in 1985.
@@vinnievintage7725 Maybe the wisdom needed to appreciate the beauty of calculus and the teaching skills of @Math_and_Science only comes with age. 😊
i'm 200 still i am taking calculus
You're the best math teacher anybody can ask for. Thank you.
Thank you very much. Sir, You are expert at simplifying difficult subjects in an incredible way.
I agree. this man as helped me a lot. may Allah bless him
Finally things are starting to make sense to me. Thank you.
i be messin with Java on and off and i came across a book
called Physics for Game Programmers and it stresses derivatives
didn't understand when the book explained it, but i understand
much better with this video presentation
Very good -- an excellent tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your explanations, they are amazing!!
Great videos, Having issues with a teacher using my labs and mastering as the course and not doing any teaching at all.
Thursday. Raining outside. Watching this at 08.15 am. I forgot I'm 39 years old for a while.
Thanks sir it helps me a lot 👌🏼
thank you for saving my grade for this sem
Thank u for explaining it really well.
Add the results togethet of each constant?
God bless this guy.
I think you are the best teacher
The best teacher ever….
I've seen a few videos on derivatives. This is a very good one. Thanks. However, a burden question I have no answer to is why are they called derivatives?
Thank you so much for another great video!
Welcome!
Wonderful lessons, how I can buy DVD?
Pretty awesome!
I'm feeling gratefull
How do I get some practice problems to do?
Thank 😊❤️
Please upload your full video
I love this thank you...
Hi
why at x=1 it is 2 on the derivative but 1 on original function
Where can I found dvd 📀? You are speaking about him
I wish all math teachers and professors in the world could teach, wait..., could cultivate science knowledge to students like this gentleman. I feel thankful watching his lecture.
Thank you!
Welcome!
Sir your teaching skills are so good you can teach rocket science to a five year old. Thanks a lot.
for the first time in my life , its not, ooohh I get it it ,its ooooh shiiiit this actually makes sense. 😭😭😭😭😤😤
f1(x)=2x2-1+x1-1
f1(x)=5x5-1
Supportive
f1(x)=2x+1
f 1(x)=4x4-1=f 1(x)=4x3
i have an exam this week and "i know nothing" 😂
f1(x)=4x4-1
f1(x)=5x4
f1(x)=4x3
f(x)=xn=f1(x)=nxn-1
f(x)=x4
20:03, 28:17
f(x)=x2+x
The symbol [ for each final answer is not internationally adopted, so it is better not to use it. It is weird. Thank you!
f(x)=x5
I love the way he makes complex subjects so easy to understand but I can't afford his lectures not in a million years XD I'm broke man. Please make them lectures free....pllleaaaaassseeeeeeee.
Check out Professor Leonard if you want free math courses.
learning something new is better consideration rather than spending the time with scrolling fb on the screen.
A derivative is telling you how fast something changes - 3:53
With distance WITH respect to time
Any point on that given f(x) or function, its going to have that rate of change during a point...whether the function is a straight line, squiggly, parabola...
Rate of the change, how steep...in math slope of that function...we plot a function, we talk about that slope...how fast or how steep is that slope. Derivative, how fast that function is changing. Velocity is a derivative of position in physica
Steeper has higher slope. How fast or steep that function f(x) changes...do it by drawing a line TANGENT to this curve on the parabola...tan touches curve on one point, ONLY. now use algebrs to find slope of this line...derivative of this function of this point
Derivative is the slope of the line TANGENT to this curve. So high slope is pretty steep...more vertical is like a mountain. The lower point, draw tangent line, touches at one point...slope of that tangent is lower...this is more shallow. At the bottom x, 0; y,0, its horizontal so slope is 0. If u draw tangent at the bottom of curve...derivative is 0.

For noobs this is a heavy subject that causes a lot of headache.
So, comic relief @7:05
The negative derivative finger fart.
Your teaching improves with your your hair loss, could you explain the derivative?
How can you put these super boring courses as mandatory studies. Good god.
Well Calculus is the basis of literally all modern technology. So it’s kind of important :)
THEE BEST. Hands down. you are my GO-TO Online Math Teacher. SO Thankful...for a 5STAR Job
