Thank you Gwen, and everyone else who has posted Imelda's new songs. I dislike Call Me and thought it would be indicative of the rest of the album, but these posts show that isn't so 😊 I hope, I'm only half way through the album songs so far.
The solo on the record was by Jeff Beck, who is also on 'Black Tears'. This is what Imelda said in an interview with Cerys Matthews: "I sent him (Jeff) 'Black Tears'. I sent him a couple actually and he picked 'Black Tears' and he plays this beautiful solo. Then he said, What else are you doing? He played me some of what he was working on for his album, I played him some of mine. When he heard 'It's My Time', he went (gasps), 'That needs a guitar! I want to play on that. I want to do a solo on that.' Imelda noted, 'But you can't; Jools has already done a solo.' 'Oh, he won't mind.' After Cerys raves about Jeff's playing, Imelda, a longtime friend of the guitarist, says 'It just kills me when I hear him playing...just beautiful.'
No probs. He was and is a phenomenal artist in his own right (vastly superior to her present guitarist), and was recording albums before he met her, and still is in his own recording studio - and is still touring all over the world. He wasn't merely part of 'her band'.
I love her, and this is class.
Thanks Gwen for posting this. I think this is my new favorite IM song.
As good as ever! Bravo! I hope you are happy.
beautiful song, beautiful voice, stunning looking woman........love it
this has given my goosebumps goosebumps
Imelda may really matches her voice, which is good for blues rhythms like this

Nice guitar solo.

Who wrote this song? Is it an original or a cover of an older song? I cannot seem to find information on it.
Imelda wrote it. It is a new song.
Where is her husband? He obviously wasn't on this tour.
He is no longer a part of her band.
Really? that is a shame. He is one of the best guitarists working these days. i hope they are still together. There is a child involved.

Love Darrel Higham and impatiently awaiting his newest album release!
njdjninja sadly they have gone their separate ways, hence the new image and music.
