There's something different when competitive minds watch Haikyuu and the perspective that comes with that. Y'all are noticing and understanding so many things, and it's only episode 4! BRILLIANT!
Oh you'll See Suga's competitiveness come out trust me xD Also, you got a rather good read on Kageyama there! Hinata's voice actor, Murase Ayumu, says it's still difficult for him to voice Hinata because he's quite different from him in character, and he was his first energetic, lively role (to this extent at least). The recordings take a lot of effort and sweat to match Hinata's energy, and in the beginning Ayumu had to do many retakes, frustrated by his lack of skill, especially when comparing himself to Kageyama's voice actor, who appeared to have it all under control.
Yeah, I rember seeing a subbed clip of Murase-san and Ishikawa-san talking about the difference between envy and jealousy and how one time, drunk Murase-san slapped Ishikawa-san and was like "Why is it always you", and I think it was specifically in reference to haikyuu recording sessions
just another pointer! you guys pronounce Suga's name as "shu-ga" as in BTS' Suga but in haikyuu his name is actually pronounced simply as "Su-ga", like the S in "salt". Hope this makes sense :D
Good tip! If I can add: because it's short for Sugawara (pronounced like "sue-gah-wah-rah") it has the normal S-sound instead of a Sh-sound 😊 You guys are doing great though and I love your perspectives!
Hinata esp in season 1 makes a lot of cute little sounds that really show his pure excitement and awe. It displays hinata’s character so well for what it is in the start here as both inexperienced but not shy. I can’t imagine a more fitting voice and performance than murase-san, he brought the character to life!
i'm so impressed and moved by yalls reaction. i don't want to spoil anything but we revisit kageyama's "king" mindset in season 4 and i hope you can remember all the important stuff you both have said during this episode because it's so so true. this IS part of what makes kageyama special. i love you both but i noticed jordan particularly asks some really thought provoking questions and jared always has an equally deep response. i'm excited to take this journey with you guys!! haikyuu will always be one of my favorite animes. i hope you try out fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood, i think you'll have a LOT of amazing insight
You started haikyuu reactions at perfect time ✨👌🏻 the new haikyuu movie just came out in Japan ( we're still waiting for International release dates 😩)
Let me just say it's amazing!!! I had been worrying about compression of the game of KvsN, and it was surely short, but so dynamic and emotional. I felt passion of the film makers. Frankly I already watched it 3 times😅
idk if you guys peeped the actually insanity of that quick attack. kageyama is setting to the exact point, at the exact speed and angle to meet the exact momenet that hinatas swing would cross paths with the ball. This would take pro volleyball players tons of tries to do irl so its kinda not realistic for a setter to be able to set that perfectly. But even in this show it is a one off thing(or two off)
I absolutely love you guys' insights in every review video that you make. It makes everything worth while. I think you both embody what it is to be reactors and reviewers. It's not just about reacting physically, but also letting us hear your thought process and how you relate to the content you're currently watching. Thank you for giving us high quality content that is more than just surface-level "reacting". We greatly appreciate you both!
Not sure about actual recording sessions in regards to Haikyuu, but there ARE many clips available on youtube of Haikyuu events & whatnot that have the VAs doing live voice-overs on stage. If you're interested, check them out.
i'm absolutely not into basketball so i appreciate the different perspective from you!! i feel like no matter what sports you played or love you can SO relate to haikyuu. we've all been there where hinata, kageyama and all the others are. love it!
Great episode! Noticing you guys talking about the development process of anime - there is an anime series called "Shirobako" which is all about it. It's a very cosy watch and it gives great context about everything that goes into making one of these - from the animation to voice acting in a light-hearted, funny way. When I was new, it helped me get a lot of insight into the process so I could appreciate it better. As for the specific voice acting - Technically they aren't just reading the script in the booth - the anime will be running in some capacity on the screen (Under optimal circumstances finished) and so they can put themselves in the moment. Personally what I find the most interesting is the consideration of all the background sounds - every squeak of shoe on the hardwood, every bounce of the ball must be manually recorded and brought over - its pretty crazy.
10:17 complicated bc I can't comment on it 11:50 part N of "Open your mouth earlier to share your thought process, not just how to execute it, and things wouldn't be quite as bad) 18:33 effort alone-- 24:26 we'll _try_ and do it 32:40 smiling :) 38:12 Hinata doesn't know, but Kageyama would
i've been seeing you guys pop up in me recomendations a lot but kept skipping because i got tired of reaction channels unless they can offer some discussion, but then i noticed how long your videos were so decided to try. as someone from a basketball country and who lowkey hates volleyball (haikyuu is one of my fav series but only for the comedy and "guys being dudes" stuff) its really nice to get it recontextualized by basketball people. i've always been more of a football person because im short and hate looking up lmao
Great reaction! I can't wait for the next episode. BTW, Haikyuu movie (very new episode after Season 4) has been released from Feb 16 in Japan, and it seems to be a megahit although the last TV series ended a few years ago. Well...I already visited a theatre 4 times to watch it🥰
Great reaction guys ❤ I’m loving the journey, btw the middle discussion of this video about “egos” in sports have me thinking of another fun anime called Blue Lock, definitely way more “imaginative” then Haikyuu but still a very interesting concept with great characters
Hola Queridos Gosto Demais De Como vocês fazem suas Análises a cada Momento nos vídeos e suas reações são sempre Dinâmicas. Parabens Meninos pelo Sucesdo do Canal de vocês E Realmente Maravilhoso .❤
It's far from the 4th period, but ... I think it will be a satisfying work. Because there are not many works that spotlight all the characters that come out ... Even if you get angry at first, you will be strongly moved 🥹 I think it's a great sports anime.
Anime is all about getting to the meat of the story. If you think its juicy now, wait till season 2! The only time when there are fillers is when the anime needs the manga to get ahead.
BLUE LOCK is up there with the ego side of things xD maybe you should star t watching it 😂 (please do 2ep or 3ep at a time) one is too low at least 2 ❤
You guys should definitely pick up Kuroko no Basket, a sports anime about basketball, since both of you guys played basketball! It will definitely be enjoyable!
brother you need to watch vinland saga, great series! you can start it after you done with one of death note/aot/haikyuu. cuz 4 anime in a row is kinda exhausting
Pls don't hate tsukii he's just a bit of a jerk at first but he's just really like that It's actually quite funny when he's like that towards other teams that may discriminate against them but his really nice (sometimes) there's a reason why he's like that. Anyway love this vid of yours thanks for appreciating haikyuu pls look forward to other characters as well and other episodes don't worry Hinata will develop his skills and also the whole team throughout all seasons.
22:45 you couldn't be more correct about Daichi. He's incredibly wise. Not to discredit Tanaka's loyalty at all
There's something different when competitive minds watch Haikyuu and the perspective that comes with that. Y'all are noticing and understanding so many things, and it's only episode 4! BRILLIANT!
Agreed very much!

I kinda like it tho. Bc he’s the sweetest one :)
@@lorek33perandfriends47 Lol I mean they were pronouncing it wrong so I thought I’d clarify haha
Murase Ayumu-san has such a cute voice!!!! so glad they aren't put off by it like a lot of people would

Hinata talking to himself while spiking the ball at the end was pure beautiful poetry 🥲

The struggle of the strong (Kageyama) getting in his own way from wining ,by trying to win harder.
