Pretty good stuff! It's awesome to see kids exposed to so much more than America. Makes them more aware of their world and their place in it. Good on you mom!
+Dave Nelson Thanks! They are definitely learning much more about history and geography then they would in a text book. Everything comes to life and is more “real” when you experience it firsthand.
Is Europe no uncivilizated América
It's better for the kids to learn history and geography than material things in U. S.

Segovia, an old Celtic town (Segobriga), later a Roman city and nowadays one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Like.👍
Really Segobriga is a different roman location/city, sited at 250 km aprox to the souhtest, in Cuenca.
Thank you all so much another beautiful video, and you say it's been around 2000 years, i sure would like to see that place, and it still look very good, Spain has a lot of ancient cities, the time of Christ, thanks for upload i love you all Jerome from Florida
I'm from Spain and i know most tourists go to Madrid or Barcelona, but i recommend to go to the small cities, Segovia, Toledo, Cantabria, North of Spain is beautiful, i like it more than the south, that's where you can see the real history of the ibieran penninsula. It makes you feel like you're in the medieval times. A lot of them looks like they stop in time.
Cadiz in Spain is the oldest city in Western Europe. More than 3000 years old.
Cris Villanueva Barcelona is so old. They were the layetanos, an Iberian population from VI century A.C. So.... no hables sin saber y despreciando.

Another magic place...thanks for the ride along, girls!! 🌷
Wow amazing place,💕💕
+green man Yes it’s beautiful!
Thanks for coming in Spain
You’re most welcome! We love Spain! 🇪🇸❤️
Wonderful video, makes me want to go there too. Thanks again.
Thanks Mike! I’m glad you enjoyed this one too.
The ROMANS built that aquactude, not the Spanish

Fantastic family and fantastic initiative, congratulations. The series is super interesting, thanks for sharing it. Dali and Walt were great fans so in one of his travels to Spain he was inspired by this Castle to create the Snow White
Yeah, he got many of his inspirations from European castles.
The girls are really having fun.
They’re having a blast everywhere we go.
nice place to visit
Yes! It's a really cool place to see.
After watching some videos from other English speaking tourists in Segovia, let me congratulate you.
You are the first who showed some curiosity to visit the cathedral which contains the true artistic pieces.
And you explained the uses and the architectural curiosities of the acqueduct.
The "disney" castle is called Alcazar de Segovia, and is worth watching from below.
And the sucking pig not only is a delicious dish worth tasting, but it is served with a ritual worth watchin as well.
Thanks for the lovely comment. I knew the suckling pig was a delicacy but I didn't know it was served with a ritual. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
@@GrowingUpWithoutBordersI am aware that for some non Spaniards the look of a pig served like that might be shocking. But in the end if you are not vegetarians or vegans it is the same meat we eat in a sausage, only that this is more tasty and with no aditives. Donned in his best clothes Candido adresses his customers with a short speech by royal appointment and chops the cooked pig with a dish which he drops on the floor to be broken at the end. Then the pig is served out😊
I visited Segovia in 2015, went up to see the castle and we had the pig for lunch. There was no ritual whatsoever, it was like eating in any place in the world. And I have heard the castle in Bavaria, the one the crazy king built was the Disney inspiration. I have visited both and the one in Germany looks more dreamy so I have to agree with those who say that one was the inspiration.
@@anairenemartinez165 No te has enterado de nada Ana Irene.
¿Verdad irenita?????
@@cinderelladevil1687 TU no te has enterado de nada.
Who picks ur music it is great. Who is it playing. Thanks terry. Great video as always.
Yes,, But showing Segovia or whatever city of Spain except Andalucía with that flamenco gutarr is like showing the whole North America with a cowboy country music.
Spanish Empire!!!
I live in segovia and i don't even know how i got to this video
That's funny 😂😂😂 I hope you enjoyed it!
It's not a castle but an aqueduct, built by the romans during their conquest of the Iberian peninsula 2500.00 years ago, today is a world heritage treasure an a must see when you visit Spain,
Nice video, greetings from Valencia Spain
May I ask you what is the name of the place you are eating that delish sandwich? Looks yum. Thank you for the videos. Amazing to see them
Mike Escalona I think it’s Granier - a generic franchise cafe. Better to have the cochinillo 👌🏻

Show more the grasslands and landscapes of central Spain, not only the cities and the historical places.
Well, finally my hopes come true and the guy who attacked this family was not Spanish. In his last message he called me "metiche" and that is a Mexican word that is not used in Spain at all. He pretended to be Spanish. Afterwards he deleted all the messages.
🇪🇸✌️
Nice video, but not true that this castle inspired disney. clearly, it looks the part, but the true inspiration was in bavaria (germany) blended with a couple in the loire (france). one of the french ones really looks much more like disney's. look up chateau usse or chenonceau.
I went to that castle, and what you say is true, bavaria's castle it's basically the same castle of the disney logo.
The diference is that the german castle is a new one of XIX century and the french "castles" are palaces...
¿do you know a old roman road next Segovia? these roads you donot have in United States: ua-cam.com/video/YBM-p0uNxk0/v-deo.html

The Alcázar of Segovia is not the castle the inspired Disney. The real Disney's castle in Neuschwanstein Schloss in Bavaria, Germany.
Yeah, we visited this castle as well. He did get his inspiration from the Alcazar too.
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders Il the Alcázar was filmed a musical titled Camelot. About the King Arthur, obviously.
I can't get over that you just walked past probably one of the most delicous pork dishes in the world and you decide no, much better a shitty franchise ham sandwich... I guess it's less sad if you eat a slice of doubtably hormonated pig or a rich on mercury tuna? better than a true fresh local piglet?
I don’t think we would ever eat a little piglet. We tend to lean more towards a vegetarian diet but we do eat meat as well. Given a choice we chose vegetable and beans. 😉
Why do you shout??
I don’t know. 😂😂😂 I didn’t realize we did.
I think Neushweinstein in Germany also had a part to play in the inspiration.
Yes, but this is a real medieval castle while the German is a modern building, only 150 Heard old
This is Castile not fucking Spain or Andalucía
the Neuschwanstein castle inspired Walt Disney to create the Magic Kingdom. Today, Neuschwanstein is the most visited castle in Germany, and one of the most popular tourist destination inthe world. Every year over 1.300. 000 people cross its gate.
Indeed
No
Neusschwanstein doesn't look anything like the Magic Kingdom castle😂

wasn't neusweinstein the castle
No, "Neuschwanstein castle" is in Bavaria, Germany. This is the "Alcazar of Segovia", near Madrid, Spain.
enekoeneko69 neischanstein is actually a 19th crntury copy of true medieval castles such as the USsé Castle in France and the Segocia Alcazar castle
Yes, I know
@@enekoeneko69 'Alcazar de Segovia' is nice, but I also think 'Neuschwanstein castle' was what really inspired Walt Disney.
@@JorgeCSyt , it's a mixture of both castles. Walt Disney never said exactly which castle inspired each of his films, he only said that he was inspired "in the old European castles."
