Men and women are equal. We are not property. We are a union. A man can be protective and provide for the family but the woman is not lower than the man.

One must be subordinate to the other, that is how every relationship works. Even those relationships who claim to be 50/50 relationships, you always notice the guy doing what the girl wants more than the other way around. I've watched every relationship around me and from the outside, it's ALWAYS very clear who wears the pants in the relationship. Women are not property in the slavery sense of the word, but a marriage entails the women belonging to the man and the man belonging to the woman. Hence why people say "MY wife" or "MY husband." There is a sense of ownership over one's spouse.

      @@lightsflashnow exactly bro,
I always noticed than in 50/50 relationship men give their more shits but when It's come to women ah
      "we are equal".
It's like they use us when they need but when we need they run.
Family works like a company, one must have to subordinate in other in a family.. That's why you will see traditional families are more successful and happy while 50/50 is unsuccessful in general..
It's not even disrespectful to women.
Women should embraced as love that someone taking her to care and love.
It's their Biology, Women are hypergamous. They are attracted to someone who is bigger than her,who can lead, protect, provide her..

Well, I'm my father's son, so I belong to him in the sense that I'm his son, as long as he is a good father, it's my moral duty to respect and listen to him. And he belongs to me in the sense that he is my father, it's his legal duty to take care of and provide for me until I turn 18. What so hard to understand about that ? Spouses belong to each others and they both have legal and moral duty to one another. You still have control over your life but it's definitely not total control, and the baseline is you can not have sexual relationship with a third party without the permission of your partner.

Again this is not wanting to accept simple facts. If your wife had drunk a bottle of wine and wanted to drive wouldn't you need the "authority" to make sure she didn't!? If my wife wanted to go out at night in a bad neighborhood, yes of course I would try to stop her and yes it won't be know hostage situation but understand I could never be with that women again! It is my job to protect you and if you don't give me the authority to do that then I can't be with you because not only do you out yourself in danger but you put me in danger.
Many women go their whole lives without experiencing true violence and the processes that lead to violence. This is why some women will feel comfortable walking up to a whole bunch of guys screaming at them putting her hand in their face. What they don't realise is your man has a duty to protect you when you do things like that and when he does those group of boys won't treat him like you, they will kick the shit out of him and stomp him out (potentially killing him). And this type of thing happens all the time because women don't understand the consequences of real violence! So yes I would need some authority over her to make sure not only her but I do not end up in situations like that. Again you can't force them like a kidnapping but their is no doubt you can't continue that relationship and it will be one you will avoid by not getting with women who are offended by this!

48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”.
Mark 3:35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”
      John 19:26-27
26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. ( Jesus basically said John is the son of mary, and mary is the mother of John from that time onwards).
By the way sarah is the mother of all proof=Galatians 4:21-26.

But Tate refuses to acknowledge that "women is given to the man in marriage" HEAVILY implies that she is a chattel and instead tries to pass the blame/issue off as semantics, that its a religious statement (like that makes things any better) or just how other people label it.
He's cornered because its clear he's pushing the whole women are chattel narrative (in-line with his religious beliefs) and that is without a doubt mysognistic but won't own it.
He isn't the hero people keep parading him around as.

A father gives his daughter to a groom to represent the transfer of responsibility. That the groom should now be her primary protector in case someone evil or something bad happens, it’s his responsibility to stand against that. A daughter is not a father’s property to begin with. I m an 18 years old girl with 0 body count. I and none of my buddies (all with 0 body count) would want to date or marry a 40 year old dumbass or any way older disgusting creep.
Older men are old school, have their white hair painted black, are misogynists, maybe already have a wife or kid they need to share property and money with. They might have diseases that come with older age due to the lifestyle and environment of today's time like thyroid diabetes or heart issues. More diseases if they drink too.
Suppose when I am 24-25 i get married to a 40 something man. I would have to get pregnant quicker coz his sperm quality would be getting worse day by day and by the time my kids are 12-13 years old he would be an inactive father in his 50s nearing 60 and would have disgusting wrinkles too.
Compare that to my friend (suppose)who marries a man closer to her age. Her husband would be a handsome man in his 30s still.
Plus after a decade or two when that man gets older and has health problems i would have to spend my 30s and 40s nursing him instead of enjoying my age and time.
Plus women on average anyway live longer than men. So when he dies i would become a lonely woman in her 40s , exhausted after nursing a dying old creep. Lonely and bitter with kids who have moved out to live their own life.
As far as older man having more money and being more stable comes....i would prefer looks n health and growing older with my partner over that. And I don't need to be 'led' by any man except my father and male teachers and mentors. I am a smart, logical young lady and can think and take action for myself. I would prefer to earn and contribute equal towards the household just as my husband and if i happen to earn lesser i would compensate by doing more housework than him.
I plan to save myself for marriage or maybe have only 1-2 relationships if life goes wrong and would want the same from my would be husband.
Now why m i typing all this?
Coz I am frigging tired and disgusted by 40 year old manwh00® 'alphas' treating me as their 'dream girl ' and trying to meddle my youth and innocence. They have had all their fun in life and instead of trying to get me who is more intelligent and aware and wants to have a stable life from the get go they need to opt for women like them who has had all the fun in her life. Leave us kids alone idiots coz there's something wrong with you coz u weren't able to settle down with a nice woman in your late 20s or early 30s.
And last point.... before any pervert comes and tries to school me let me tell you that all the relationships i have seen in my life had only an agegap of 2-5 years atmost and both the partners were earning and contributing equally instead of younger dumbos choosing older bastards for money and stability so don't tell me that getting a nice and loyal guy around my age once I grow up and complete my education is not possible. Feel a bit ashamed for your 'preferences' and F Off.

Property is something that is under you , that you control , that you can give it to somebody else and also can sell it.
This word is absolutely inappropriate because you cannot control a woman , you cannot sell , you cannot keep her under you , and ofcourse you cannot give it to somebody else.
She is your responsibility to take care of and caring doesn't mean to control , to dominate, to treat her as a property.

I’ve no problem with someone who has Tates attitude towards marrying my sister/daughter. Someone that will protect & provide, allow her to sit at home and rear children. Call it misogyny or whatever but it’s a better than her having to start at the bottom of the ladder in corporate life, live on a salary that is a pittance, exhaust herself for a decade while trying to find a man that wants to marry her, then try to keep hold of him, while having kids, and then working ceaselessly to make ends meet while they are in their infancy. I understand how that might be “the dream” for some women, but if I was a woman, I know I’d be happy to have no financial burden, to raise kids, go on school runs, look after the house, and do the shopping. Not as glamorous as conferences in Northampton and speaking on a panel perhaps but I pity the hardship a lot of women need to go through. In the misogynistic past women had enormous value and respect as wives and mothers, there was this thing called "chivalry", today after the enlightenment they have been instigating they are more replaceable than ever, particularly for men of value. The competition is fierce, supply is high. Todays women are saying I respect myself, don’t call me your property. Yesterdays women were saying, I respect myself so I expect you to take on all the burden and hardship associated with providing for the family, and if you do your job, I’ll cook you a nice dinner when you get home. Not sure which is progression and which is regression.

@@emma647 The whole thing is just overblown nonsense. Hyper sensitive women and their propensity to feel offended.Unsurprisingly you decided to chime in with the patriarchy remark. Look, there is nothing wrong with what he said. You find it insulting to be considered "owned". But then, you're probably the kind of idiot that would want to have a formal probe if the love of your life said something along the lines of "you're mine". I wish men did feel the responsibility of ownership, divorce rates would be lower. The kind of men that had those attitudes were good men, the kind that stayed the course, provided, slept on the sofa in the house that they paid for when they'd transgressed. This isn't about attitudes that we want to bring back from 1643. You want to make it about that. A lot of women that got married in the 50s & 60s that stayed married to men with those attitudes, where chivalry was an actual thing, and you had to actually ask a girl out, take her on dates, pull up chairs etc had a much better relationship with men (and their archaic attitudes) than you will ever witness. But you go ahead and enjoy getting ghosted, tinder, wearing heels for 14 hours and whatever else you consider a perk in this supposed utopia that you've got going on for yourselves. A lot of you are buoyant because this is all relatively new, but you're not getting married like you were, and thats fine when you are reasonably good looking at 38, different ball game at 60. We haven't had the experiment crystalise. I might be wrong, maybe there'll be tik tok videos soon posted by women that have never had a man declare interest in long term commitment to them (ever) talking about how they've led spectacular & fulfilling lives. I'll believe it when I see it. Nice try Piers, but Andrew did outplay you. Now you are really a hypocrite, your taking small segments of the show and putting massive caption behind it. Your really selling your soul just so you can get a bit of more following and exposure on UA-cam. Sadly you just exposed yourself, people aren’t stupid Piers.

I have seen arranged marriages where the bride is given away like chattel
Edit: The ones i saw, the couples are still together and that was 20 years ago. There are many marriages where the couple stayed together for 40+ years. Some people may have an issue with it, but for some it worked.

@@BrucesRobots It actually works because divorce is hardly ever an option, i have a couple of Nepali friends, and this is something we've actually discussed...
The Indian subcontinent culture greatly relies on what the community thinks of you, and yes, i know to a lot of extent, all communities are like this, but it's especially pronounced in the Indian Subcontinent... A couple, especially the lady, will rather remain in a marriage that has serious issues than get a divorce due to their community looking down on them, or even shunning them; i know of a Nepali lady who was just in her early 20s, and was being maltreated by her husband, and when she was asked "why doesn't she leave him?, she said she didn't want the people around her to think less of her, and look down on her...
A major reason most marriages stay long in countries like India and Nepal, is not because the couples were in love forever, or there was no serious issues meriting a divorce, the culture of "Community Approval" is very big in that region, and divorce is something that will almost always be shunned against by the community no matter the issues the couples are experiencing.

@@trueman-nt4it A lady wanting personal fulfillment from the relationship they're in, which is the basic things one can ask for in a relationship, doesn't make her a whore.
Granted, basically all the people i've talked to from that region hasn't been Indians, but Nepalis, but they say the cultures are so alike, you'd think it's the same... A lady in her 20s, who is just starting her adult life, should not be afraid to get out of marriage were she's being used as a punching bag, just because the community will look down on her or maybe shun her; that's a very big red flag itself on the community, because a community seeing a person being mistreated should be doing all they can to make sure that person leaves the abuse... Firstly, that is too much power being given to the community to be able to completely dictate someone's life like that; and secondly, from some of the bad situations i've been told, the community itself doesn't even use said too much power to actually help, but use it to force people, especially women, into a situation in which they 100% do not want to be in...
A man shouldn't in the first place be seen like a God in a relationship, because a man ain't a God; that is already a balance of power that if abused, can become very detrimental to women in relationships/marriages, because the man will hold almost all the power and can very well abuse it if he wants to; and the woman in turn, is kept in a state were no matter how she tries to explain, the man's side will always be taken by the community, even if the man is completely wrong.
