I grew up on "Mickey's Christmas Carol," and we watch it every year. The first movie version that I saw was the 1984 George C. Scott version and is still the go to one. I did watch the Allistair Sim one this year and was surprised that I did enjoy it. We watch the Muppet one every few years and I always forget how good it is. Michael Caine did a great job as Scrooge. I' did watch the Vincent Price one as well and the 10-minute 1910 silent version this year. Check out the animated "Scrooge" that came out a few years ago, that one is solid. On next year's list is the Patrick Stewart and Henry Winkler versions. Thanks for the reviews. Hope the holiday was good. Happy New Year!
The animated Jim Carry one is good, however the one that I was talking about is a newer (2022) animated movie. It is called "SCROOGE." I watched it the past two years. It does have a bunch of songs in it, so I guess it is somewhat of a musical, but the mix is good and still concentrates on the story. Check it out next year.
Many versions of Christmas Carol, my favorites are Flintstones, Jim Carrey and sir Patrick Harris. Though the Jim Carrey version was the last one but I just know there's a new one from Netflix but that one they sing and scrooge has a dog. Something different putting a dog, that one I couldn't get onto it with the singing. I'm happy you guys rating every versions of the Christmas classic. Awesome review
Top 3 of all time.... The 1938 version with Reginald Owens....Then the 1951 version ...and toss in the very fun version 1970....4 th would be the Muppets haha...
Best: 1970 "Scrooge" starring Albert Finney & Sir Alec Guiness & 1999's "A Christmas Carol" starring Sir Patrick Stewart.
Scrooge and George C Scott’s a Christmas Carol
