As Liza said: The problem is not making a mistake when speaking. The problem is teaching it wrongly. Non native speakers use these kind of videos to improve their English. Thank you very much indeed for showing us the right way to speak English!
I prefer a native speaker over an advanced learner
Exactly! I am a non-native speaker with a YT channel where I speak English. I still make many mistakes, because speaking is the most challenging part of learning a language, so I understand that Marina can sometimes say something incorrectly. But teaching new words and phrases without a prior check is simply unprofessional.
Marina Mogilko is making a ton of mistakes in her videos, this is very shameful, she is fooling so many of her followers!!!
I’m from Russia and I must admit we are inherently bad at learning languages or assimilating in foreign countries. We often try to impose our own worldview, culture, aesthetics, ethics to places we occupy/move to. It shows in the way we use/abuse foreign languages that we think we’ve mastered and can’t wait to teach others 😂😂😂

I've taught English in Russia. So many of my students (current and former) told me about this Russian girl who aced TOEFL and had perfect pronunciation in English. You see, for Russians, pronunciation is a huge deal and is given a ton of importance. One day, I decided to sit down and watch some of her videos,, and man, I tell you, I wasn't impressed at all. I remember cringing hard when she did a US vs. British English pronunciation video and mispronounced so many words that I lost count. In particular, she claimed that in North America we pronounce the letter "L" in "Salmon". She also claimed that the word "Rabbit" was pronounced like "Raw-bit" in the UK. No, no, no.
The problem isn't her mispronounced words - those can be fixed with practice (and knowing how to say the word correctly to begin with!). No, the problem is that she sells herself as this perfect English teacher and she's followed by so many people who think that what she's saying is correct. Stop giving this person your money, everyone. At least until she improves her English.
Good video. I wish I'd thought about doing something like this.

1:40:45 ARTICLES!
One of the difficult part of learning English. Thanks to Kevin and Lisa I now know that there are 3 (at least) rules that come to using articles (other than countable or non-countable).
Countable nouns when used as a part of an expression, don't require an article (highway robbery).
Articles are (often) omitted in titles or headlines.
Sometime we use "The" instead of "A" with countable nouns: The Produce section.
Sometime we don't use an article at all as in *advice*, but a piece of advice requires an article.
It's only difficult if your native language doesn't use articles. Otherwise, it's super easy
Wow!
Pretty set of corrections!

All the time I was thinking that as a non-Native English speaker I would make mistakes in any case and I have never had any confidence to teach English(except my younger brother😅) I was always afraid of making mistakes in grammar or in pronunciation or looking stupid. I I can finally open my mouth as I feel much more confident now after watching the video! But! My applauses for Marina! She looked very professional and made me feel her English was perfect! And not only me! It’s also a talent, isn’t it? And thanks to her talent she makes millions! So! My conclusion is: the mostly important thing is self-confidence😃 May God bless all of you!
She speaks very fast so that you couldn't catch her mistakes xD

Great video lesson from language professionals!
Thank you Kevin and Lisa!
I am happy that you have corrected her mistakes and I hope you'll do the same with other UA-camrs..... we know that you are not against the person, but you're against the idea of teaching something that is not correct because eventually students are going to learn something that is not correct. Thank you very much for this useful video... Please keep it up.
Great video! Thank you guys! Im still learning and I prefer doing it with you!
всегда знал что она ветер гоняет, спасибо этим ребятам что разнесли её.
