Despite its groundbreaking features and historical significance, the OB-1 has remained somewhat under the radar compared to other classic synthesizers like the Minimoog.

I couldn’t watch the whole livestream due to connection issues, but this synth sounds Heavenly! I’m new to synths and sound design, with Sylenth being my only VST experience. I had no idea they could sound this good. This is definitely on my radar! Can you do a video on Sylenth and if it can sound like this?
Sylenth, while a fabulous software synth, isn't going to sound this analog. I don't think Sylenth can do PWM? So this is going to be in a different league than that plugin for analog sounds. However, Sylenth does Virus-type stuff phenomenally.
Great Synth,, it´s the sort of VST you start and have directly fun with :-), very musical patches...super usefull
Yeah it's crazy good and the patches are insane!
I think the key to selling soft synths is having the first handful of presets be amazing, and they really nailed it on the OB-1. I especially like the new additions of looping VCA/VCF and the HPF in the effects section. 👍

that's amazing man, I need to watch the whole your video this evening for sure :) I just received it from GForce, so yes - I will definitely do something with it 😎 I need to finish some hardware sounds, it's a hard work here with soundbank for Blofeld, and it's hard as f*ck to collect single sounds into multi and save it all, I creating reach Supersaw trance sounds, which I didn't found in the net yet🤦who could come up with such tricks in the synth? Well, of course, the Germans😅 because everything is like that in the country)))😅
It can be quite an angry sounding synth if you want it to 😁 Good for replicating a john carpenter atmosphere ;-) match it up with cherry's Mercury 6.
maybe in an update they could add on option for 1x oversampling or turn it off.
Yeah I don't usually mind an unoversampled sound. Decapitator doesn't oversample and it's an industry-standard distortion plugin
Hows the CPU and Asio Guard ... I have an i5 and get nuked with some Pigments presets
CPU hit is pretty big. I would test the demo before you buy it.
I'm using this on an i5 2500k in cantabile with asio4all, it can be taxing on the CPU in unison mode, more so with reverb on. you can use it, turn the reverbs off and use voxengo's 'oldschool reverb' which is less weight on the CPU.

I think the confusion is that, in this case, a 'Live Review' doesn't mean a 'Live Performance'. It is simply a demonstration for musicians who want to hear the synth before they buy it. We want to hear the raw tone of the oscillators & filter & how they react with the FX. We don't want to hear someone else play a 'Live Performance' as we will be imagining how it will integrate with our own performance needs
