@@miniearmie339 Oh dont even get me started on that. That performance frustrated the life out of me so god only knows how the boys felt. Their crappy dark ages approach to filming, broadcasting and even sound quality was excruciating... so completely behind the times it was nothing short of an absolute embarrassment on every level. Weird ineffective camera angles, ridiculous long shots and the constant stupid close ups of people in the audience. Countless hours spent rehearsing for a flawless performance full of intricate dance moves and where are the cameras...yeah everywhere but on them were they should have been... GOD GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!!! 😠
I'm 52, male and my daughter and I have seen them live 3 times. We still have tickets to see them at the Rose and Cotton Bowls. Yes, they are that good...even better in person!
No other artists are as giving as BTS. The reason they have such a big fandom is because they literally give their 100% to their fans. Whether it's an award show performance or a concert, they literally give their best and if you will see how exhausted they get after these performances you will realise that they actually work hard. There are videos of them almost fainting after these performances and willing to perform even if they aren't well. That just makes me cry and at the same time increases my love and respect for them.
Boy in luv is about how an immature bully kinda guy would think of love.(like forcing and doing whatever he wants) While boy with luv is about when you find true love and become mature enough to understand the beauty of it.
I was just about to comment on this too. The first song is from their first music "era", representing love in school (pretty much young love), but focuses on the confusion and frustration. Then 5 years later, they dropped Boy with luv in the Map of the Soul Persona album, linking it to Boy with luv showing how they and their understanding of love matured. It also doubles as what they are perceived as by the public. They were rough and desparate back then, now they appear loved, happy and poppy to most people (outside persona).
Told you that you wouldn't be disappointed! 2018 is also extremely good, and also 2020. These 7 boys always give it their all. The only thing about the 2020 performance is that there's no audience, but it's VERY much worth watching.
BTS is by far the best performing group I have ever seen. Since discovering them, I’ve sadly found a lot of other artists pretty boring. You kind of start to notice how other artists hide their lack of energy and stage presence with a lot of glitzy costumes, props, and backup dancers. BTS’s energy is just insane. They always give 110% and then some. There are many behind the scenes of some of members almost passing out and needing oxygen during concerts between stages (usually Jimin and Jungkook, who have been told many times to pace themselves better). But they all have the mindset that each time they perform, there might be audience members who have never seen them before, and may never again, so they want to make sure every performance is great. They care that much. There are behind the scenes for the MMA 2019 performance that shows them the moment the cameras stop rolling, and you can tell how exhausted they are. Unlike a lot of artists that gain that much fame and become complacent, BTS still goes hard like they’re still trying to prove themselves somehow.
This performance alone explains why ARMY fights the way they do to get "proper" respect for BTS in the US and other countries in the West. When a group performs like this, over and over and over and over again, it's absolutely laughable for anyone else to win performance awards in a category where BTS has been nominated - Grammy or otherwise. Your reaction was very similar to mine the first time I watched it. Mindboggling.
No kidding. How can a group always put 110% and more each and single time in their performance not get the performance award at the GRAMMYS. It was a joke.
BTS's Live shows (I saw them at the Rose Bowl) are a spectacle. I flew down from Canada to see them. 70,000 screaming fans bonded to our boys! Mutual lovefest. Army bombs are bluetooth connected in the stadium and you feel like you are part of the show. Incredible sound system, fire, bubbles, water cannons, props, amazing backup dancers en masse, smoke, lasers, flying, drones (at their newest shows), a full fireworks show at the end and just about any thing else you can think of! Just incredible. But I have to say, it's the music that's the greatest! It's all about the music. Great reaction to one of the best live shows I've ever seen. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You seemed really surprised my jimins contemporary dance performances, so for some context, jimin has been a dancer for many years. He got a scholarship to a really amazing art school and was a top student in said school. His dance teacher recommended he try auditioning for bighit, so here we are now, years later, with this beautiful work of art that is jimin of BTS. I'll never get over his stunning contemporary dance performances. He's so graceful and beautiful. Congrats on 10,000! And many more to come!!!💜💜💜
@@jonny.x He was the only male at the top of the contemporary dance department and when he debuted one of his teacher said that “the world of dance lost a great talent but the idol world gained something extraordinary” or something along those lines. He is obscenely talented.
The funny thing here is that these korean award shows banned lightsticks from all fandoms (all kpop fandoms have different lightsticks and as for bts and armys our lightstick is called armybomb which u alteady know). They banned all lightsticks because the award shows noticed how there is a lot more "armybombs" compared to other kpop fandoms' lightsticks and they dont want to make others feel unfair so they banned it. But then armys didnt follow those rules and thousands of them brought armybombs and staffs cant do anything because majority of the audience is armys. So all the people there that are non-armys and other kpop idols were shocked because as soon as bts starts, all armys' armybombs lights up the audience's seats
BTS: Are you ready for this? X Reacts:. I don't think I am. I don't think any American awards show or show is ready for a full fledged BTS performance! Western artist be crawling back to their houses saying our eyes have been blessed!
as RM [leader of BTS] mentioned, they are a performance group. BTS has always since their debut made sure that their performance is like no other. even tho their company at the beginning doesn't have enough funds, they still made sure the quality of the performances, music and choreo is at it's finest. they have always consistently improved. periodt :)
Love that you watched this and shared it with us! Loving the new additions you are adding to your channel too. Thanks for the hard work! Yes, the Mikrokosmos performance was pre-recorded with editing so the members would have time to change-this is common at Asian award shows, esp. for the groups who do multiple songs. Persona and some of the solos were also pre-recorded (like JK's water portion). One note is that while they pre-record, they often have ARMY come in during the taping (not always but sometimes) and also while the broadcast is transmitting the pre-recorded bits during stage changes and such, often times if the guys are ready for the next part, they will come out on stage and perform as much of the song as possible for those in attendance at the actual venue - there are fancams of RM and others during their solo bits when they were actually performing live in front of the live audience while the pre-recorded bits played for those watching from home. They take such care to every little detail but go the extra mile to perform for us because, as JHope has said, they don't want anyone going home afterwards and feeling like they wasted their time or money - the guys feel it is their responsibility to put on a great performance. Dionysus live is LIT by the way - saw it in Chicago at Soldier Field and it was pure magic. Thanks for reacting to this. Later!
In BTS' book *that * counts as an award show performance. You can imagine the practically physical pain we feel when Western award shows give them the bare minimum time to perform their song, sometimes they even need to cut out parts of it to fit in their allocated time slot. If they could do what they do in Korea... Uh.
This is the show that I know will have people GETTING why BTS is as big as they are. They have so much talent in their arsenal that each member brings and you put them together and you have a legendary group. Add in their personalities and their concepts and WOW. Historic. FYI, BTS also likes to give out clues for future projects in their award show performances so ARMY theorists usually go Easter egg hunting. This is by far my favorite Jimin moment ever. Imagine them singing live after that humongous dance break in Dionysus.
Do BTS perform like this in concerts? Why yes, yes they do. I saw them at the Rose Bowl. They have no opening act. They sing and dance for 3 hours! The ARMY bombs are programmed for each performance so you’re part of the show too. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I’m 51 so I’ve seen some unbelievable concerts. BTS blew them all away. 😊💜
Yes to answer your question a concert is amped up above this - just imagine this for 3 solid hours! It’s freakin’ amazing. I have never been to anything that even comes close to seeing them in concert. Name me one western artist that does a performance like this just for an award show.
The song you liked where they had all the stars in the crowd is called mikrokosmos and its about how all the ARMY bombs look like stars when they're on stage, like ARMY is their stars. 🥰💜
This is what the Scammy missing out because they are too blind to see how much talent these guys have. They only perform "Dynamite" and it was cut short leaving viewers hanging to the end. Ridiculous.
During the solo performances they were each representing a different Greek gods and Jimin is actually a contemporary dancer as well. He majored in contemporary dance in school.
They did this for an AWARDS SHOW. The MMAs were like "take as much time as you need" and BTS were like "hehehehehehe". Also, BTS famously sings live, so those vocals were all REAL, even while they were dancing like maniacs.
If you noticed, their ending pose for boy in luv was the starting pose for boy with luv.. it’s a continuation.. also, mikrokosmos (the one that looked like a galaxy) was pre-recorded, they didn’t change that fast.. also there was a lot of cgi since it was recorded prior to the award show
I owe you an apology. I thought this was an older video, but here you are in March 2021 catching up on MMAs 2019, which was, indeed an epic performance. I loved your reaction - it was consistent with every other reaction I have seen - and enjoyed. And, yes, I don't think ANYONE in the West is coming close to this in any performance - never mind an award show. I suspect someone else has given you more context, but here goes. No, you were not "supposed" to have light sticks at an award show - but ARMY didn't listen. They seldom do. They just support BTS. That's it. That's all. And anything that gets in the way of that, well ... doesn't. It was THE performance of the night, and I love how, from time to time you get a shot of other artists enjoying the show just as much as we do,
Congratulations on 10k!! 1. It's MAMA who banned light sticks, since the 2018 BTS performance looked like a concert. All fandoms have their own light sticks. 2. Some parts are prerecorded like Mikrokosmos and the solos. 3. Please check out MAMA 2019 too.
Yeahh the power of army and also jimin's performance is live I think....I saw a backstage clip of jk getting shocked when the staff said jimin is performing that live
Towards the end of the Dionysus performance, when they sat back down at the table, the stage hand didn't get Jimin's chair there in time and Jimin was actually sitting on air for a few seconds, lol. But he did it so confidently, you'd never know there wasn't actually a chair under him. They are definitely professionals.
Hahahaha,..love to see somebody again and again in shock about Bts their performing and everytime again it blows my mind also. Yessss,..they are the best performers all times 👍👍💜💜💜
This is for an end of the year award show performance so they always go way above and beyond for it. That doesn't mean that their concerts aren't amazing, but they already need oxygen in between sets sometimes during their concerts because of how hard they go, so doing something as hype as this all live would be hard. I love this performance though because it's just so extra and shows how much they are about performance. These are people who belong on stage. I recommend checking out a live performance of So What or Apanman from 2019. Also the medley of Dope, Baepsae, Fire and Run is great too. Just Dance or Euphoria live would probably be up your alley too just because of some of the elements in them. Outro Tear is a rap line song and so great. I don't have links for any of these things off hand, but I'm sure someone here does or can suggest the best videos to check out for these.
You'll definetly love bts's albums 2013 to 2015 (dark and wild,2cool 4skool etc..)that's their era when most of their songs are hiphop, hype and like an alt songs.even their concept is like an badboy, grunge and hiphop. Suggested song N.o Danger And tear-live performance
BTS is the king of performances... no other group as far as i know have this kind of performances. They are incomparable when it comes to intro and live performances...
Johnny I have watched this reaction 3 times already! I loved it when your jaw dropped wide open during Jimin’s mid-air flip 🤣🤩 Next to put on your list, 2018 MMA Awards full performance! 🥳🔥
yeah it's two different songs! Boy in luv is 2014, Boy with luv is 2019. it's an evolution, it portrays a picture of how your emotions mature when you grow. like when you're IN love, it's just about you and your love, you concentrate on yourself, your own desires and dreams about this feeling. but boy WITH love has a purpose to spend it on the beloved figure, he is the one who firstly gives love and is happy doing it. instead of being pushy and eager as in young age you see your beloved as a treasure and appreciate small things that make this person who he is. it's a calm but consistent attention to the details from you: "how's your day, oh tell me", "what makes you happy?", "teach me everything about you" (lyrics from Boy with luv)
So much fun watching this with you. This is a prime example why BTS scared the shit out of Grammy. Jmts A teacher could base a weeks lessons on the Dionysus and mythology theme in this legendary performance, and many have!
Now that is the reaction I was hoping for! Each group has their own fandom and lights. They are all different. That just shows how many Army was at the awards show. And to be honest, American award shows do not compare at all. The time and money the American shows wouldn’t do.
I dont know if anyone has already commented this but: their Map of the Soul (MotS) albums had a lot of callbacks to their earlier work, especially their first three albums known as the school trilogy albums. Boy In Luv is from earlier, and Boy With Luv is a callback to that song, as well as signalling a certain growth in them.. MotS also samples a lot from earlier songs, especially Intro: Persona, Interlude: Shadow and Outro: Ego had samples from earlier intros and outros. We also have the song ON on MotS, while N.O. is an earlier song.. The song We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal is on MotS while We Are Bulletproof pt 2 was on their first album... As well as some lyrical callbacks. :) suga likes to use the phrase "big house, big car, rings" f ex, which was first used in their debut song 🤪 All this is just to explain why the performed Boy In Luv, then Boy With Luv haha
This is what grammy would have if they treat the boys rightfully and give them the chance to show how amazing bts' performance is ..well..their lost i think
BTS succeed for a reason, ppl keep trying to deny that and belittling BTS's effort, but the fact is the fact, their years of hard work are now paid off, and I swear this is still the beginning, BTS has endless potential to expand even more massive
ARMYs take BOMB ARMYs everywhere that BTS goes and fans can go, we don't just use them for concerts, KPOP uses the lightstick for everything. In events this is how artists in kpop find their fandom and people too, it is also easier to identify when you are in a place that has more than one group for example.
but the fact that they're literally singing LIVE like of course like they always do but still sounds so PERFECT while DANCING that crazy hard choreos..just akkk! i know they always does this like singing live while dancing hard choreos but it still amaze me everytime i think abt it lol
The asian Award Show are the greatest show I ever seen. And BTS are the KINGS ! They always own the stage ! This MMA 2019 is my favorite, with the MMA 2018. But the others 2016 , 2020 are amazing too, and also BTS performances at the MAMA .... .
Best live performance I've ever seen from them. Glad you finally got a chance to check it out. Always enjoy this. Especially Jimin's solo dance sequence. He's a BOSS!
"That was amazing! " you will say this to every MMA or Mama performance by BTS ( and some other groups too actually) these shows has the best performances!!! And when BTS on stage its unbelievable.
Remember that this is just an award show. Many artists of different agencies attended this ceremony and that is how you make a statement. Who's the king, who's the boss 😁😁😁
At award shows, some parts can be prerecorded so artists can have time to change for the next song. In this performance by bts, mikrokosmos (the 4th song), jk's solo, and the part where all the horses came out was prerecorded. They did the one with the horses prerecorded because of the loud noises (I believe dkdktv stated this in a video of theirs). All the people during the intro of the dionysus part were there though. Prerecorded parts are shown on the big screens at awards shows
They all performed their solos live, but Jimin is the only one who didn't pre-record as well, so his live was broadcast and the pre-recorded performances were broadcast for the other six. But they all performed their solos live on stage too. JK just did his without water on the live performance.
Been to their consert at Wembley Stadium in 2019. Think this amped up to three hours...singing live, dancing, solos... experience of a lifetime. 40y old army, mother of two
Dionysus was the performance they STARTED their concert with. Then they went in to NOT TODAY another HYPE song and then 2-1/2 hours of burning the stage. You can hear them breathing so hard while they are singing. I swear, no other group works hard than BTS! Trust me when I say you are hyped all night long after you go to a BTS concert. And Jimin's performance was Aetherial perfection.
the theme of the album released in 2019 was somewhat connected to the greek mythology. before the Dionysus performance itself every member had a solo performance with some of remixes of their biggest songs over their seven years, each member represent a god or goddess: • V (Taehyung), No More Dream Remix (2013), Apolo, god of the sun • Jin, Dander (2014). Athena, goddess of wisdom and war, or Ares, god of war. stage point to the battle of Troy and the Trojan Horse • Jimin, I Need U (2015), Artemis, goddess of the moon and twin to Apollo • Suga, Fire (2016)m Hephaestus, god of fire, or Hades, god of the underworld • Jungkook, Save Me (2016), Poseidon, god of the sea • J-Hope, Fake Love (2018), Zeus, god of lightning and thunder • RM, Dionysus (2019), Dionysus himself, god of wine and art, complete with thyrsus - wooden wand entwined with ivy and grape leaves, a symbol of prosperity, fertility, hedonism, and pleasure/enjoyment in general, it's compared to a mic. Dionysus is a God often called Eleutherios which means the liberator, because his wine, music, and ecstatic dance freed his followers from self-consciousness and the restraints of society . As BTS compare wine to the art in the song, they are Dionysus of music industry, the gods of music and dance, who gift their listeners freedom and a helping hand to be strong and be better once you'll react to the Dionysus lyrics, i'll explain the rest :) seven lights that were hanging down formed the Corona Borealis - the constellation that represents the crown of Ariadne, given to her before the marriage to Dionysus, made by the god Hephaestus
They are always *wrecked* after performances like this. They go all out during their lives, and then if you watch the behind the scenes back stage, they are coming off stage and like falling straight over. The staff usually meet them with ice and supplemental oxygen!

While boy with luv is about when you find true love and become mature enough to understand the beauty of it.

And no Suga.
You said it perfectly
You got it right:)
And many more to come!!!💜💜💜
i didn't know that to that extent! explains how he can move like that! amazing! 💜
@@jonny.x He was the only male at the top of the contemporary dance department and when he debuted one of his teacher said that “the world of dance lost a great talent but the idol world gained something extraordinary” or something along those lines. He is obscenely talented.
@@jonny.x
That's the one of the reasons that we call him 'king of kpop '
aww.. our mochi is so talented.. I've been bias wrecked by every memeber everyday.. idk anymore.
Later!
i feel like i should pay the admission cost 2 years later and having only watched a recording... it's that good! thank you for everything C P!!
This is an Award Show but its BTS so yes THIS IS BTS AWARD SHOW TURNS TO CONCERT
KINGS BEHAVIOR
In BTS' book *that * counts as an award show performance. You can imagine the practically physical pain we feel when Western award shows give them the bare minimum time to perform their song, sometimes they even need to cut out parts of it to fit in their allocated time slot. If they could do what they do in Korea... Uh.
Now this is an awards show! Scammys who? It's not even a concert, but you wouldn't know it. It's go big or go home. Proud of our boys.
Name me one western artist that does a performance like this just for an award show.
doesn't; exist!! so incredible..
The song you liked where they had all the stars in the crowd is called mikrokosmos and its about how all the ARMY bombs look like stars when they're on stage, like ARMY is their stars. 🥰💜
When you have to keep reminding yourself that this is just for an awards show! That this isn’t a BTS concert. Lol. Mind blown.
...... annnnnnnnnd THIS is why we say BTS doesn’t need grammys...
grammys NEEDS BTS !!! ! !!!
They can’t handle them!
They Are Scurd!
StayGold 🙌🏻♾💟🐋
These performances are so much more creative and cool than grammys. So beautiful, especially mikrokosmos. The lyrics are great
i have literaly watched this performance twenty times i can not get enough
This is what the Scammy missing out because they are too blind to see how much talent these guys have. They only perform "Dynamite" and it was cut short leaving viewers hanging to the end. Ridiculous.
This show is so well lit together. It keep you in suspension so well. The transitions are superb.
I’ve seen it about 30 times and never get bored
I love watching people react to this for the first time and be left in awe of their performance, this is BTS 💜
And this is the kind of art you get if you give BTS stage time at an award show, Grammys!
There is NOTHING that compares to BTS live. And this performance is the best of the best . Thanks so much for your reactions.
You didn't know Jimin is a trained contemporary dancer? Welcome 💜
Congratulations! A great reaction! Now you imagine what BTS would do if they had more than 3 minutes on an American award show.
Welcome to the MOTHER of ALL live performances ever by ANYONE!!
Again...only BTS can turn an award show into their Freakin’ Concert!!! 🤟🙌💜💜💜
That's it. That's all. And anything that gets in the way of that, well ... doesn't.
It was THE performance of the night, and I love how, from time to time you get a shot of other artists enjoying the show just as much as we do,
thank you Margret! yes im a few years late but i'm workin on catching up!
Congratulations on 10k!!
1. It's MAMA who banned light sticks, since the 2018 BTS performance looked like a concert. All fandoms have their own light sticks.
2. Some parts are prerecorded like Mikrokosmos and the solos.
3. Please check out MAMA 2019 too.
thank you!!
Yes MAMA 2019 is epic too! The first two songs are legendary... especially the choreo! 🤩
Yes MAMA 2019 that's so amazing performance too
Yeahh the power of army and also jimin's performance is live I think....I saw a backstage clip of jk getting shocked when the staff said jimin is performing that live
@@manaswinireddy6630 yes.. Jimin performed live for his part
Let's watch MMA 2018 next. That was AWEEEESOOOOOME, too! Congratulations!!!!!!!
Please react to their MAMA 2019 performance too💜
It's hard for me to choose between this performance and MMA 2018's for best live show I've ever seen. This shook me hard when I first saw it though 😵

And tear-live performance
BTS is totally health people, dance and sing at the same time so long
BTS is the king of performances... no other group as far as i know have this kind of performances. They are incomparable when it comes to intro and live performances...
OMG yes
The best performance
Johnny I have watched this reaction 3 times already! I loved it when your jaw dropped wide open during Jimin’s mid-air flip 🤣🤩 Next to put on your list, 2018 MMA Awards full performance! 🥳🔥
the let-it-shine song is Mikrokosmos :) they've performed in on Jimmy Fallon, you should check it out
yeah it's two different songs!
Yeeyy.. congratulations,.
btw that's what Asian music award shows look like , it's feel like your in a concert..
that's what they all look like?!? my lord .. lol

And their MMA 2018 are Good too, yeah! It's also amazing.
Thank you for sharing your reaction with us. 💜
So much fun watching this with you. This is a prime example why BTS scared the shit out of Grammy. Jmts A teacher could base a weeks lessons on the Dionysus and mythology theme in this legendary performance, and many have!
And this ladies and gentlemen is why BTS are incomparable.
:) suga likes to use the phrase "big house, big car, rings" f ex, which was first used in their debut song 🤪
All this is just to explain why the performed Boy In Luv, then Boy With Luv haha
THEY'RE PERFORMANCE IS ALWAYS NEW,REFRESHING AND LIT.
ITS LIKE THEY HAVE AN UNIQUE AND AMAZING IDEA EVERYTIME THEY PERFORM.
Massive props to the back-up dancers, and all of the specialty performers for creating such a heady, eye-catching world for our boys!
At last! Yes, 2019 MMA This is it!
haha sorry to keep you waiting :) i hope the wait is worth it! 💜
This is what grammy would have if they treat the boys rightfully and give them the chance to show how amazing bts' performance is ..well..their lost i think
This is the best performance in an award show ever! Seriously, just great!
And this how BTS does an award show performance!! 💜
BTS succeed for a reason, ppl keep trying to deny that and belittling BTS's effort, but the fact is the fact, their years of hard work are now paid off, and I swear this is still the beginning, BTS has endless potential to expand even more massive
Jimin is an insane dancer. His solo was the second BTS thing I ever watched
i still regularly get that clip when it says "I NEED YOU NOWWW" stuck in my head... like.. every couple hours... I NEED YOU NOWWWWWWW
bts award ceremony?
Just one two words
Speechless
Legend
ARMYs take BOMB ARMYs everywhere that BTS goes and fans can go, we don't just use them for concerts, KPOP uses the lightstick for everything. In events this is how artists in kpop find their fandom and people too, it is also easier to identify when you are in a place that has more than one group for example.
but the fact that they're literally singing LIVE like of course like they always do but still sounds so PERFECT while DANCING that crazy hard choreos..just akkk! i know they always does this like singing live while dancing hard choreos but it still amaze me everytime i think abt it lol
Now you know why this is labeled the best live performance ever by anyone!!!!!!! Never underestimate BTS. They always take things to the next level.
This is just an award show....a concert is a whole new level of magic
16:48 that song is called Mikrokosmos. It was on their Map of the Soul: Persona mini album and used to close out their world tour.

The asian Award Show are the greatest show I ever seen. And BTS are the KINGS ! They always own the stage ! This MMA 2019 is my favorite, with the MMA 2018. But the others 2016 , 2020 are amazing too, and also BTS performances at the MAMA .... .

they are..... THE ULTIMATE PERFORMERS......
everytime the bts performed in awards night. they made it like a bts concert. their is on fire always.
"That was amazing! " you will say this to every MMA or Mama performance by BTS ( and some other groups too actually) these shows has the best performances!!! And when BTS on stage its unbelievable.
This performance is just good. Their concerts are on a different level.
I thought the b*mbs weren't allowed at award shows had me laughing 😂.
Award show: no b*mbs please
BTS: raise your ARMY b*mbs 😂😂
This was my initiation in June last year. So AMAZING!!!!!!

Been to their consert at Wembley Stadium in 2019. Think this amped up to three hours...singing live, dancing, solos... experience of a lifetime. 40y old army, mother of two
Dionysus was the performance they STARTED their concert with. Then they went in to NOT TODAY another HYPE song and then 2-1/2 hours of burning the stage. You can hear them breathing so hard while they are singing. I swear, no other group works hard than BTS! Trust me when I say you are hyped all night long after you go to a BTS concert. And Jimin's performance was Aetherial perfection.
the theme of the album released in 2019 was somewhat connected to the greek mythology. before the Dionysus performance itself every member had a solo performance with some of remixes of their biggest songs over their seven years, each member represent a god or goddess:
• V (Taehyung), No More Dream Remix (2013), Apolo, god of the sun
• Jin, Dander (2014). Athena, goddess of wisdom and war, or Ares, god of war. stage point to the battle of Troy and the Trojan Horse
• Jimin, I Need U (2015), Artemis, goddess of the moon and twin to Apollo
• Suga, Fire (2016)m Hephaestus, god of fire, or Hades, god of the underworld
• Jungkook, Save Me (2016), Poseidon, god of the sea
• J-Hope, Fake Love (2018), Zeus, god of lightning and thunder
• RM, Dionysus (2019), Dionysus himself, god of wine and art, complete with thyrsus - wooden wand entwined with ivy and grape leaves, a symbol of prosperity, fertility, hedonism, and pleasure/enjoyment in general, it's compared to a mic. Dionysus is a God often called Eleutherios which means the liberator, because his wine, music, and ecstatic dance freed his followers from self-consciousness and the restraints of society
. As BTS compare wine to the art in the song, they are Dionysus of music industry, the gods of music and dance, who gift their listeners freedom and a helping hand to be strong and be better
once you'll react to the Dionysus lyrics, i'll explain the rest :)
seven lights that were hanging down formed the Corona Borealis - the constellation that represents the crown of Ariadne, given to her before the marriage to Dionysus, made by the god Hephaestus
The song, where things looked like a galaxy is called Mikrokosmos and the screens behind them read ‘I love you’ in various different languages💜
They're BTS. Of course they're gonna have flames and explosions.
Also, they were blasting rose petals in the air in Boy With Luv.
Thanks for the gift. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
AAHHHHH!!!!!!!! I must've seen the Jimin solo to "I NEED U" 50+ times, and it still makes me tear up whenever I see it! Oh, my heart!
They are always *wrecked* after performances like this. They go all out during their lives, and then if you watch the behind the scenes back stage, they are coming off stage and like falling straight over. The staff usually meet them with ice and supplemental oxygen!
No one does it like BTS
