Rewatching this… I appreciate the fact that he did not disclose that he was also her husband in the game because that would have shifted the focus on him. Instead, he point out that whatever/whoever she is, as long as she’s willing to be with him is what matters the most.
Plus he didn’t even spare them a glance, he was looking at her the entire time.

watching this again, i realized how unrealistic this looks like. them paying attention to the cost of her clothes, them suddenly stop eating just because she want to go home, them delaying the karaoke just to see her boyfriend like god i never meet people who are busy body this much. the director wants to highlight that she's the main character too much to the point that the scenes are unrealistic.

well, to them she is practically like a celebrity. She is insanely beautiful first of all, then she showed up taking the spotlight the whole time from trying to prove she is the legendary reed wei wei and got into some drama with the main ladies who are friends with the guy who treated all of them in that fancy restaurant. This enough can take so much interest to her especially going back from the game, she pretty much already has the spotlight without even revealing who she is and it just got better when she did because no one can take their eyes off of her. About the clothes and all, status is quite improtant in China (as far as know since a lot of chinese people pretend to be rich in social media and are in secret groups sharing resources to attract a rich spouse by pretending to be rich….not to be too off topic but I just want to empathize the importance) the butterfly friend that invited wei wei obviously wants her to shine even more to prove the hater ladies wrong and bringing in the topic of how much her clothes costs perhaps can open some cans of worms into her status like if she’s rich or not. Because as we saw here, Zhen guy, the empress, and the 3 servant friends have so much spotlight for being rich. butterfly friend sort of wanted to put wei wei on their level too by asking the price of her dress. In 5:06 you can see the reason why they want to see wei wei’s bf, bc she is such a rare beauty in their eyes and obviously the thirsty guys and jealous ladies wants to see what this insanely beautiful girl, wei wei, have in life. This also relates to a character Malena whom everyone, and I mean everyone has interest in her private life because of how her beauty captivated the men as well as enraged the women.
Am i the only one thinking that she wasn t that beautiful , cross that there were a lot of beautiful women there , she wasn t particularly a beauty so i don t really get it

@@youboy9586 I think YT accounts are not official streaming sites govern in China (since YT is banned there). I think it only includes the likes of WeTV, iQIYI, Tencent and other Chinese platform. International streaming sites are not included but they may have a difficulty renewing the license for the drama (e.g. Netflix). Not sure about that but there's a lot of articles about it already.
