The symbiote invasion was indirectly caused by Kraven and Norman.
Goals of Venom: Avoid being separated from Peter and kill whoever tries to separate them (failed).
Get revenge on Kraven for the role he played in indirectly separating him from Peter by killing him (succeeded).
Convince Peter to join his side or kill him if he refuses.
Kill Peter's friends for standing in his way.
Heal the world transforming humanity into symbiotes to make into an ideal planet for him.
Get revenge on Miles for taking Peter away from him by killing or brainwashing him. (All failed).
