You know, for Ami being young, I’m 74, so yes, she’s young. She has such insight, and gives so much good information on diet and process. I’m so proud of her weight loss and being able to encourage others. I like how real she is and I enjoy her interactions with her children. Her kids will follow her good food choices as they grow older as a normal thing.
I’m hopeful that they never fall into the SAD diet we have in the states. I kinda wish I’d grown up in a vegan household, as I struggle to lose weight myself.
Congratulations Ami, on being a great life coach on weight loss!

That cute Romi just steals the show every time 🥰🥰🥰 she is becoming cuter and more fun every day 😍😍
You have done amazingly with toning your muscles and you can really see it in your arms; and as everyone suggested, you build muscle when you are in surplus, more protein and increasing weights. Great commitment Amie 🙏🏻🙏🏻

You’re most likely getting great protein from beans, quinoa etc. increasing your hand weights over time will challenge the muscles.

All plants have protein remember. Bearing in mind the “huge portions” (your own words) of veg, fruit and pulses you consume, there would be no need to add more protein in the form of powders, etc. An excess of protein puts a strain on your kidneys. Muscles are made by consistent resistance while consuming sufficient (maintenance/excess) calories. Use cronometer to track your macros if unsure. I commend your whole food approach. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Hi Ami, I see someone else has already suggested Simnett nutrition.
Thomas Tadlock’s info on training and metabolism is another suggestion.
I look forward to see what you figure out is right for you, and what you choose to implement (if anything) ☺️

Your arms are definitely looking more toned and have you seen Simnett nutrition on UA-cam he is Plantbased and very muscular and lives in Canada. He has some awesome recipes high in protein!
By the way have you shown a recipe for your corgette soupI might have missed it!

Great job. Building/adding muscle involves being in a calorie surplus and gaining weight.

im against using proteon powders that are full of additives, but I use 100% plant protein powders in my baking/shakes, my favourite ones are brown rice protein or pea protein.different plant proteins have different qualities, eg brown rice protein is excellent in baking! ❤

forgot to mention vital gluten!! and dry soya chubk/mince. I got mine from Holland and Barret but have seen some recently w big Morrisons near me (soya chubks in indian section). not sure if you would consider those foods processed, I gues is up to everone to decide how much'little of these they want to it :)

I would plug your food into Cronometer and you can see where you are landing. I eat almost exclusively potatoes, sweet potatoes, and loads of veggies and get waaaaay more protein than is needed. Chef AJ has had docs on talking about this. It seems it really is not an issue if you are eating enough Whole Foods, especially if you eat even 1/2-1 cup of beans or lentils per day. I don’t usually eat that many legumes and I still get way more than i need. I would definitely look to the plant based docs for this info rather than trusting influencers online about this issue.

You only need 0.4 grams of protein per pound of body weight to build muscle. Glucose actually plays a huge roll in muscle growth and it’s really about challenging your muscles and progressive overload. I’ve watched your videos from the beginning and you definitely get more than enough protein. 🙂💪

doubt if your lacking protein, the amount of bean's and soya you eat, you just need to change up your excersise so your not doing the same thing, and like the other commitments said slowly increase the weights. Adding ankle weights is good as well especially helping with my knee pain. And another yes to your comments watch simment nutrition, him and his beautiful girlfriend are both great. and do amazing food

Making our own food from healthy ingredients can be expensive but if we bulk up on healthy staples (depending on what is in season/offer in our own country) we can make economical meals. It takes work doesn’t it ? But worth it.

What kind of yoghurt do you use to make the dip Ami? Is it milk based or plant based?

The whole family are ethical vegans, so everything is plant based.
