HAHAHAHAHAH... we placed a booking on the new carnival 3 weeks ago after watching your first Carnival review the other day!
Used to have a cerato at the porch, that car had ZERO squeaks ZERO problems throughout ownership for 150,000km except steering coupling that was changed for less than RM50. My honda civic 2017 1.5tc however tyre swell 7 days after collecting the car then oil seal leaking, power steering rack kong off within 3 months I collected the car and then 6 months the car system went haywire causing all electronic stuff to malfunction and then the reverse sensor stopped functioning. The service center and refusal to honour warranty claim is also at another level.
Happened exactly to my city. I think these are only tactics so that we keep going to their service center to to keep the warranty with their expensive services.
My dad said we should get a starex so we can all travel in one car cause my family is pretty big. I’m glad I suggested this instead. Such a beautiful car and it handles fine for what it is 😊

When he mentioned french car i know what he meant to say as i carpooled in my colleagues french futuristic mini suv and the interior finishing is substandard, as compared to my 5 years old korean midsize suv. No offense, the french car is super beautiful but korean got better quality control for that particular aspect i guess.
Kia is a great car overall judging from overseas sales and positive review everywhere couple w high ratings but in Malaysia is still not well accepted because of the preception of low resale value, high fuel consumption, expensive spare parts...etc. I have been driving K5 Optima for 7 years problems free before i decided to join the SUV craze and bought myself the 2.0 Turbo Diesel Sportage. Malaysians should give KIA a chance. They look great, they drive great.

@@hdbsg3.5 the polo gti 9n3 is far too stiff and has excellent road feedback...on thr lexus ls, i swapped out the air suspension with the coil over suspension...so it improves road holding grip , etc....at thr expense of comfort...
U can tapau alphard easily with this monster. I use older sorento diesel, and i like to smoke alphard when they like to cucuk very near like im the one is slow at highway. Once the car in front change to the left lane, bye bye alphard. 🤣
Mr booby, there is less fumes and less smell because We are already using Euro5 diesel which is a cleaner fuel. Besides its a new car, of course less smell. Try put ur head at the exhaust when the car has done 100k km la. Last time using old diesel, my ranger tekan full all the black smoke come out. Now with euro5 diesel, i tekan how hard oso no black smoke

Naza also not very interested to bring in new Kia models to Malaysia. Maybe because Naza sons are already wealthy and they wanted to focus solely in properties. Thank God Bermaz took over the dealership.
What persuasive review.. just visited auto show at pavilion bukit jalil yesterday. Need to test drive at the showroom. Really cannot compare the price with 7/8 seater really expensive. Although more goodies than the 11 seater.

Am very close to pull the trigger on a BMW X7, but now I see this KIA Carnival at a much lower price point and I am a bit torn. I know the X7 got the luxury and features, but really for a family car KIA is looking great. I don't need 11 seats but the 7 and 6 seat configuration looks maybe even more comfortable than X7 too. The wait time to move the X7 auto seats around too just to get to the 3rd row is zzzzzzzzz. Anyway, lets see what we end up getting, will book a test drive with the KIA for sure though.

The other day I saw ys khong preview. No doubt this new carnival is pretty good compared to the previous one, the only downside the engine sounds like a tractor from outside..

The Staria we got was the "Lounge" version (Just check the Hyundai Korea website, there are multiple versions) The Lounge spec costs the same as the Palisade there.
Hyundai starex also 12 seater so its tax break that made it affordable. I was told indonesia will be getting mitsubishi delica soon. Hope it has a 11 seater to make it affordable if it comes here.

I accidentally refer to Mazda because the Kia Malaysia distributors folded last year in Malaysia and was taken over by the Mazda distributors, along with Peugeot and Citroen distribution and local assembly too. So we're used to referring to that company in Malaysia as Mazda.
Don't think so, with lexus fit and finish and 5 series material and 11 seats and 2.2D efficiency yet decent power and the interior size/visual design and brilliant handling for a van, 190k is a steal! BTW I hate big fancy van but not this.

its the way how they filtered off the fumes. I have experience with mazda cx5 2.2 diesel before. no smell when idling.
