Don't know if you found this out but when Emma is talking with the sculptor after getting dragonrot, if you go to the back of the temple before talking with them you can spy and heir their conversation, which I found interesting. Don't if it is important down the line or if it comes back later on but yeah.
HYPE HYPE HYPE I actually like how the new deflect system sounds. Rolling is cool in darksouls however I think it doesn't really make sense that you can basically avoid all damage just by rolling to the side even if your fighting a god. The bosses look alot smaller in scale in this game however I think they are going to feel more rewarding to fight.
I so enjoyed my journey through the Dark Souls universe with your calming voice as a guide... Looking forward immensely to sharing the journey through Sekiro with you too. Love your work.
Vaati is absolutely the most consistent content creator I know on this site. He knows his niche, he knows when is best to post some content, and it's always of the highest quality. Vaati is how UA-cam should be. Now that i've beaten the game, I can't wait to hear you talk about it more in-depth and in relation to Japanese mythos, but i'm ready to be patient
Here we go again, I always love the first weeks of a new From Software game. How the community figures thinga out and watching your beginner videos have become a tradition too.
I can’t wait for your lore series on Sekiro! Your passion for From Software IPs and your talent as a creator have garnered a large audience, and you deserve it. Hi Vaati I wanted to ask you a few questions... 1) Does the game do a good job of explaining all it's mechanics and systems? 2) Is it possible to screw up your character so badly that you have to start over? 3) Is the game closer to Bloodborne length or Dark Souls length? Thanks in advance!
D J 1: about the same explination you get in dark souls and bloodbourne 2:maby??? Iv never heard of that out side of a final fantasy game 3:both of those games are about the same length first playthrough was roughly 8hours on both and thats with a ton of grinding and im just a noob but if i had to rank it closer to one it would be bloodborne only cause just like in bloodborne you get lost easily
Felix Schwarz that's like a day and a half..... nah it shouldn't take that long no wear near that long just going trough the story not even side stories or item hunting it should be way quicker then 32-35 hours not even my brother took that long and he sucks at the game his completion time was only 19hours and some change if he can do it that fast then no way in hell should anyone take longer then 20hours
@@masternate2993 ah, ok. You're delusional a bit. Look it up yourself if you don't believe me. Consider yourself extremely talented soulsborne player if you've finished both Bloodborne and DS3 in 8 hours on your first playthrough.
Felix Schwarz I'm not that good at the game like I said I'm a noob I die to both players and enemies all the time but what am I supposed to look up like if the stats are saying 500ish interviewed and the average is 32+ hours then that doesn't men im good it just means the people interviewed are what we here in Cali call "shitty players" now I always thought my brother was a shitty player but if he's better then the average then my gods man I owe him a massive apology..... delusional or not what was your completion time I feel your in the "average" range if your calling someone like me talented.... PS I may very well be delusional I mean I guarantee in the only souls player who waste time makeing a pentagram of prism stones on each boss and try to kill the boss in the pentagram to use as my sacrifice for power does it really work probly not but do I do it anyways oh absolutely cause in my mind that what winners do its sad when i dont win though such a shame and waste and yes I do it on Bloodborne to I just don't member what there called in Bloodborne there not prism stones and it's harder to pull off cause Bloodborne bosses are more erratic in there movements and harder to get in the spot I set up for them
The dragonrot/unseen aid dynamic seems kinda funny; don't die to save items when you DO die. Seems From went from "Prepare to Die" to "You're gonna die no matter what, but try not to?" How do you get the blood samples, btw? Can't imagine they'll be cheap/easy to get.
im so hype for this game to the point that i dreamt of playing it in my sleep. no lie. like im literally suffering from waiting to the point that i sleep alot for time to pass by. its gonna take millennium for it to come out. 🥺
im stoked for a new FromSoft game because I know it'll be amazing fun for years to come, but also because I just know I get to consistently hear Vaati's voice in a new string of videos
after all these "live service" games killing my vibes sekiro swoops in to save the day, very excited
5 років тому+1
Live service feels like dragon rot. Thankfully, Sekiro feels like a proper GAME. Fun, challenging, interesting, rewarding. I also loved RE2 remake, didn't play DMC5 yet. But I'm interested in it.
i played sekiro when it first came out, to a point, probably a couple of hours or less into the game. that I couldn't get past. It became so frustrating that I rage uninstalled and haven't played it since. Now it's like 4 years later and i'm considering trying it again but I'm scared lol.
I'm in the same boat, i bought the game and i've tried to like it but it's just tedious to me. Nothing about it makes me want to keep playing, beating bosses feels like a relief not an accomplishment.
@@ParallaxFPV welp i gave it about a week or so again and simply uninstalled it, again. even though i researched, and watched several videos on how to play, it took me over 20 times to beat the chained ogre and afterwards i went a little further and died 5 times in a row in the very next little section. The game just wasn't engineered to be a "fun" game. It's not something to casually waste your time with, it's an exercise in sado-masochism.
Thank you for all your videos dude! literally my favorite videos on UA-cam cause I can just listen to you talk or watch and get the same amount of info because of your eloquent explanations!
I have nearly completed my first playthrough! There are so many characters, stories, and more that Vaati can use for his lore videos! I’m looking forward to his lore video on the Sculptor!
Game is definitely hard, but I'm much better thanks to being able to jump and move fast. I guess I'll just never truly master the slow and deliberate Souls gameplay over my character action roots.
Here's a beginner tip from someone that just started the game, when you get your sword, go out through the front door. I went out through the hole I came in, and that skipped several tutorial prompts. Once you're in actual gameplay, enemies at red alert have x-ray vision. Treat the stealth gameplay like evolved Soulsborne stealth, with Metal Gear's alert system. Enemies can have multiple types of perilous attacks. Since they all require different responses, my advice is to back up and memorize the enemy's tells. If you see their weapon flash, you might actually want to stuff the attack with one of your own, like Vaati does at 5:35. I'm still not sure how you counter that stab/grab normally.
I'm so happy fromsoft is making a whole new title the best part of dark souls 1 was the community figuring out the basics together large finding secrets and trying to figure out others that feeling wasn't really in the other 2 souls games and I really hope sekiro has that either way I can't wait to play
Yeah. I am certainly not going to watch this. Have my like in advance and I'll come back when I finished the game. I still have seen nothing of the game except for the initial trailer and I'll keep it that way.
@Lain most likely yeah, won't we all ? :)) I only said that since he said that he watched the whole thing and that he still has no idea about any of it so he might have an extra hard time
Truly another fantastic video Vaati, whether it's a cinematic Dark Souls lore video, or preventing insanity from Edwad, your videos have always has a unparalleled presentation for anyone who watches them. This one is no different and once the games does come out, many will go one well informed and on a good foot. Well done Vaabi,

@@maskedvalerian1095 He's talking about Vaati's Prepare to *Cry* lore series, not the Prepare to Try let's play channel with Rory, Gav and Krupa.
@@MarkHogan994 Hahaha, you're right , can't believe got them mixed up :p
i love how it starts immediately. straight to the point, no nonsense
This is easily going to be one of the most fun and best games this generation right along with BloodBorne, DMC 5, GoW etc.
Agreed with all those picks, truly great games.
DMC 5 was sadly pretty weak
@@literallyjustchickensandwich how?
Zebulun be living in an alternative dimension tho
Devil may cry 5 was dick dude what fuckin game were you playing
Don't know if you found this out but when Emma is talking with the sculptor after getting dragonrot, if you go to the back of the temple before talking with them you can spy and heir their conversation, which I found interesting. Don't if it is important down the line or if it comes back later on but yeah.
Bought the collectors edition and I can't wait to get my grubby lil mitts on it Friday. Haven't been this hyped for a game since Bloodborne.
I'm so happy I get to finally experience a From Soft game upon release. Loving it so much
HYPE HYPE HYPE
I actually like how the new deflect system sounds.
Rolling is cool in darksouls however I think it doesn't really make sense that you can basically avoid all damage just by rolling to the side even if your fighting a god. The bosses look alot smaller in scale in this game however I think they are going to feel more rewarding to fight.
I've seen a few big ones. Nothing as big as a dragon or that tree from ds3 though. But at least 3 or 4 times your size.
There's a few different ways of avoiding damage, and not all of them work on every enemy which I really like
i spent a stupid almoit of time on that big snake trying to hit it cause i thought it was a boss but you iust had to hide and poke him im the eye
To be honest I love that part, look at that slide at 1:13.
when you press jump twice Wolf does a kick that interrupts unparry attacks
A Vaati video on my birthday, thanx
Happy birthday ashen one!

Aha! I knew I would see you somewhere again. You also watched the gameplay trailer live stream didn't you? ^^
I so enjoyed my journey through the Dark Souls universe with your calming voice as a guide... Looking forward immensely to sharing the journey through Sekiro with you too. Love your work.
Man, your voice is so soothing, I wish you did walkthroughs for souls games
Vaati is absolutely the most consistent content creator I know on this site. He knows his niche, he knows when is best to post some content, and it's always of the highest quality. Vaati is how UA-cam should be. Now that i've beaten the game, I can't wait to hear you talk about it more in-depth and in relation to Japanese mythos, but i'm ready to be patient
Only 3 more days!
I feel like i will die from Dragonrot for the hype and waiting.
8 more hours now ;)
Here we go again, I always love the first weeks of a new From Software game. How the community figures thinga out and watching your beginner videos have become a tradition too.
So some dude in a bucket sells you dank divine grass in exchange for fish scales. Game of the year.
I can’t wait for your lore series on Sekiro! Your passion for From Software IPs and your talent as a creator have garnered a large audience, and you deserve it. Have you considered doing a theory video about Miyazaki’s use of butterfly symbology? Every game seems to have a reference to butterflies in come capacity. Keep up the great work!
Even in bloodborne?
My boy I already found 2 incense ingredients and I'm on my way to get the mortal blade. Don't need no begginer's gui-
"You can give gourd seeds to Emma"
Fuck, I didn't know that
I really love this guys voice for these type of videos .. I used to watch his bloodborne and dark soul coverage
Can't wait to see your lore video ! Really good presentation and a calming voice. You've got one subsriber
Thank you for saying things like manually pressing rest. This is such a thorough video. Everyone should watching this video before playing and also after after a few hours of playing and also way into playing.
I'm so excited! ITS SO CLOSE I CAN ALMOST TASTE IT

You have a great tone of voice and speaking pattern. On of the best I have ever seen when it comes to youtube guides.
D J
1: about the same explination you get in dark souls and bloodbourne
2:maby??? Iv never heard of that out side of a final fantasy game
3:both of those games are about the same length first playthrough was roughly 8hours on both and thats with a ton of grinding and im just a noob but if i had to rank it closer to one it would be bloodborne only cause just like in bloodborne you get lost easily
@@masternate2993 dark souls 3 average estimated playtime only main story is 32h 27m based on 501 entries, Bloodborne is 35h 25m based on 466.
PS I may very well be delusional I mean I guarantee in the only souls player who waste time makeing a pentagram of prism stones on each boss and try to kill the boss in the pentagram to use as my sacrifice for power does it really work probly not but do I do it anyways oh absolutely cause in my mind that what winners do its sad when i dont win though such a shame and waste and yes I do it on Bloodborne to I just don't member what there called in Bloodborne there not prism stones and it's harder to pull off cause Bloodborne bosses are more erratic in there movements and harder to get in the spot I set up for them
Thanks Vaati, for guiding me through these troublesome times! 🙏
The dragonrot/unseen aid dynamic seems kinda funny; don't die to save items when you DO die. Seems From went from "Prepare to Die" to "You're gonna die no matter what, but try not to?"
How do you get the blood samples, btw? Can't imagine they'll be cheap/easy to get.
It’s free to get the samples. Just gotta find some one coughing from the disease.
your channel is the only channel that I come to and trust when it comes to anything that has to do with from software.
im so hype for this game to the point that i dreamt of playing it in my sleep. no lie. like im literally suffering from waiting to the point that i sleep alot for time to pass by. its gonna take millennium for it to come out. 🥺
You have issues
im stoked for a new FromSoft game because I know it'll be amazing fun for years to come, but also because I just know I get to consistently hear Vaati's voice in a new string of videos
Sekiro: *isnt out*
Vaati: lets just jump into it
Happy to see u working on this project, alot of people been wanting it.
after all these "live service" games killing my vibes sekiro swoops in to save the day, very excited
Live service feels like dragon rot. Thankfully, Sekiro feels like a proper GAME. Fun, challenging, interesting, rewarding. I also loved RE2 remake, didn't play DMC5 yet. But I'm interested in it.
I don't think I'll ever play this game but your voice is so calming that I love going to sleep to
i played sekiro when it first came out, to a point, probably a couple of hours or less into the game. that I couldn't get past.
It’s very frustrating early on but when you start understanding the mechanics it’s so satisfying and you progress fast
Thank you for all your videos dude! literally my favorite videos on UA-cam cause I can just listen to you talk or watch and get the same amount of info because of your eloquent explanations!
To sum up vaati's guide
GIT GUD.
I have nearly completed my first playthrough! There are so many characters, stories, and more that Vaati can use for his lore videos! I’m looking forward to his lore video on the Sculptor!
Game is definitely hard, but I'm much better thanks to being able to jump and move fast. I guess I'll just never truly master the slow and deliberate Souls gameplay over my character action roots.
man, i'm glad i finally got around to playing this game.
"If you're having trouble with a confrontation, eat sugar" thank you Vaati, very cool
I bought the game 2 days ago and already had to take 3 breaks. I'm stuck on that dang mini boss ogre. I get so close everytime
I realise I'm late to the party, but I am so excited to be following along with you on UA-cam. Your dark souls guides and lore were excellent.
Praise Dr. Light! Dark Souls is now Mega Man!
I'm so happy fromsoft is making a whole new title the best part of dark souls 1 was the community figuring out the basics together large finding secrets and trying to figure out others that feeling wasn't really in the other 2 souls games and I really hope sekiro has that either way I can't wait to play
"Divine Grass" - Weed
This game reminds me of both Dark Souls series and Nioh, which I loved both. I'm so excited for this game. Can't wait.
Yeah. I am certainly not going to watch this. Have my like in advance and I'll come back when I finished the game. I still have seen nothing of the game except for the initial trailer and I'll keep it that way.
You honestly might want to listen to the audio for this video before you play. Shit is complex as hell
yeah theres a few spoilers in this video :( with no warnings either
Unbelievable the amount of depth this game has, I watched the whole thing and still have no idea about any of it lol
@@alphapimp you seem like the kind of person that's a gonna have a real tough time with the game
@Lain most likely yeah, won't we all ? :))
I only said that since he said that he watched the whole thing and that he still has no idea about any of it so he might have an extra hard time
Dude I love your videos - I just bought it tonight, I can't wait to play it!
i feel so stupid and irritated for not getting passed the first chained oger
Truly another fantastic video Vaati, whether it's a cinematic Dark Souls lore video, or preventing insanity from Edwad, your videos have always has a unparalleled presentation for anyone who watches them. This one is no different and once the games does come out, many will go one well informed and on a good foot. Well done Vaabi,
This game is too fucking hard
Your voice mixed with the music is so chill and calming I feel like I’m about to join some cult.
It's practically here, bois and grills.
Get hyped, Vaati. Im happy for you, man. We need you, and you need this
Thank you Vaati. I am so hyped! Lets hope it will be an epic journey.
