He's absolutely one of the contemporary stickist elite. An ever-progressing musician who has evolved a lot on his long musical route. By the way! Do you still remember the post-Limahl Kajagoogoo featuring Nick as both a vocalist and a bass player? If not, watching "Big Apple" is a must! For those, who didn't even hear about this icon of the 80-ies, it might come with a shock!
I have been in love with this album since it first came out. And I have nothing but the utmost respect for Nick. An absolutely stunning musician. Kudos 👏 😊
It does use compressed audio. But this session obviously isnt a proper mix, we are hearing the bassline upfront and punchy, the CD has everything polished and more reined in. I just got used to this session sound balance.
Discovered Nick Beggs today. I'm stunned. Made my day. I have a new idol.

I'm buying this album for many reasons. One of the top five is this astonishing bassline.
I have seen a lot of Chapman Stick players on YT, but Nick Beggs has definitely the most elegant and stylish way of playing it!
What an amazing Bass player is Nick ❤
Nick was in Kajagoogoo years ago,now he is with Steven Wilson, says it all really, the guy's a genius on bass!
He also plays with Steve Hackertt on tour doing Genesis revisited. I'm not sure if Beggs is with them in 2019, but he played with Hackett in 2014.
Nick...💞🌼💞🌼💞🌼💞🌼💞
Me gusta!!!Bravo Nick!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The best bass player in the world at the present. Period.
Its his feel for thing!!! Mark is great too! Beggs man tho in the end!
@Jack D'Ripa Both wrong. Mark White from Spin Doctors.
Brilliant bass player. Nice to see the music coming together
Love you Nick!!! And your music also! God bless!!!!
I keep coming back to this - the alternate mix available on the download of this album, that's slightly bass heavier is EPIC!
I am absolutely FAN of your music....it's just wonderful the way you play...
im gonna have to wait till xmas to get this on vinyl.... but this is a definite purchase i cant wait to listen to the whole album...
I bet this version gets played more than the release and it wouldn't be a surprise either because of this great playing of the Chapman stick.
Fabulous sound … lovely and rich
Has been a phemonenal bass player since he was in his 20s!
Wow!
The most accomplished man at the Chapman stick I believe, is Tony Levin. This guy is new to me, but wow.
Nick seems like he would be cool to hang out with, and by the way his bass playing is on point!!!
Check out the finished CD, the bass is suitably loud......
the video on line uses compressed audio.
Unfortunately the bass is hidden in the final mix, way too polished and loses the energy you hear on this clip. what a shame!!
Purrrrrrr x
Good job 👋👋👋
One word: wow!
Nice one Nick
It's a shame the bass is toned down on the release, this has more depth to the track. A missed opportunity for Rob Reed. Great work Nick, as always.

Bought the album. Great but a pity the exceptional bass is lost as DantheHorse says.
More cowbell.
Only comments about bass when he's playing stick.
