This is very useful. I did not know I could do this and is very applicable.

Not a question on this video, but since the latest PD update the render times have gone through the roof. It took near five hours to render a twenty minute video the other day when I use to do it around an hour. Have you noticed any increase in render times?

I have not noticed any changes, but I don't often hit the 20 minute mark. You might want to check out the Cyberlink Forum and see if others are encountering render time increases as well. --Jim

@@powerdirectorworkshop6999 Thanks Jim, maybe the update borked my install. I did a five minute video test and that took a lot longer than normal so something is not right. There used to be an option for the software to check system and make settings according to hardware but that not there now, just something about AI processing. Needless to say I have updated GFX drivers etc and do not think it is my system. Thanks for getting back to me. Alex.

@@powerdirectorworkshop6999 I found the issue. When you enter the export screen there is an "Advanced" button, hit that and there is an option to enable Hardware Encoding. The recent update must have turned this off. The same 12Gb file went from circa 4 hours to thirty five minutes. The joys of the update process.

I added another post last night but it has gone. I found the issue. The update turned off hardware acceleration that can be found buried in the export window under advanced settings. The same file that took almost fours hours went to thirty five minutes.

I applaud your persistence. I hope others read your story and benefit from it when their hardware acceleration is turned off unintentionally with an update. Thanks so much for sharing your journey. --Jim
