If those are removals and you get some draw is ok, but yesterday i basically had to play burn mage with close to 0 draw and none aoe at all. And i mean REALLY burn mage, - it was only win condition and any minion dmg was value in gold. Got 7 wins but it wasn't fun experience at all. My second mage on the other hand had similar pattern with minion acking but this time had a freaking market of aoe. This time 6 wins. Seems you need to get lucky with minions as mage in wild arena.
+DonFreeq Problem with mage is their card generation. Play a minion get a free mage card. Play a mage card, get a free minion. might pick up some clears as well.

Mage is there somewhere, he can play either way... but he is not as great in any of needed aspects. Jaina can't swarm board, don't have big taunts and after aoe board is full after two turns.

So what I got from this is "If opponent is a mage who has the ability to remove like crazy, go SMORC and put them at low life just to ensure I have the ability to kill them later with Hammer of Vengeance and Holy Wrath".
I dont always play arena but when i do, i make it to 3-8 wins... And get dust instead of gold as prizes. Inner fire priest is better.. Turn 4 mountain giant, Devine spirit Devine spirit innerfire. 36 damage turn 5.
Hey Kripp just made a fun non-meta paladin deck, the base of the deck is haveing lich king, ysera, Tyrion, skelemancer, then desperate stands and faceless manipulators to clone em, if you pull it off you can get like 3 skelemancers all with desperate stand and spikeridged steed, literally the wall of pain. Haven’t tried it to much but with some success so far. It’s just so satisfying because you can almost see the hope drain from there eyes as they clearly see what you just did, and then when you build round after round it just gets insane, like the comment so kripp sees please
It's an improvement, that you changed your release schedule... it's more probable I watch two videos hours apart instead of two at once... you'll make 30% more income on YT
I have a problem with heartharena. I've installed it about a year ago and all of a sudden all other games I played (mainly CSGO) suddenly halved in FPS. I reinstalled windows and everything went back to normal until I installed heartharena again. Turns out the overwolf is causing the drop in FPS. Is there any way to get overwolf to only run for hearthstone or any other way to fix my problem?
kripp the reason you used to not play around anything was not because it was wild arena. it was because rares and epics and spells had a completely different draftoccurence, so spells like lightbomb were really rare and not worth playing around. epic class spells show up something like 8 times as likely as they used to back in the old wild arena. you should really know that...
The fact that the majority of Mage games play like this, regardless if Standard or Wild, really goes to show how much Blizzard doesn't care about the balance of Arena.
i legit just lost against a druid at 2/2 wins who had a 22-25 dmg combo on turn five... thats fun now that i think about it, no one really does care, huh?
I drafted what i thought was a terrible Paladin deck and got 10 wins. Then next was really pleased with my rogue draft and got 1 win. So yeh, it’s confusing.
wild arena is so much better, arena is a more casual mode to begin with, the standard cards are so boring after a while, we should either have both wild and standard arena and just see what people likes playing better. Just because some more skilled players or streamers think standard arena better doesn't mean blizzard should cater to that. They can change occurrence rate to ensure new cards get more spotlight
