Enjoyed the video. Got value in watching the tilt angles on the box blade. I'm in the process of getting a tractor and already have a box blade. Thanks
I'm glad that I found your channel! I have a small John Deere tractor and now a John Deere mini excavator and constantly hear, you should have a skidsteer or you can't do this with what you have! Then after the work has been completed, the customer is amazed at what you can do with what you have. It's a constant battle with people who think that you should rent different equipment or get bigger equipment when it may take a bit longer with what you have BUT the job still gets done! I always say that it has alot to do with the operator. You have to have that positive mindset and know the limitations of your equipment
I guess it depends on whether or not you have an infinite amount of time to do something. Watching guys try to grade with a tractor is painful. Some people just can't grasp how to use a skid steer. What this guy did in 3 hours grading his driveway I could have done in 15 minutes with a skid steer back dragging.
funny how the work will find you when you have equipment. grading a long driveway for neighbour on a skidsteer and others are hiring me or tracking me down. Ty for your driveway tips for this private do-er
Enjoying the channel. Value and entertainment. Really enjoy work, could watch it all day :-) Bought some land, so gravel driveway and culvert are first on the list. Even if I don't do the work myself, I have a better idea of how it should be done. Thanks again.
I have repaired a lot of rutted out driveways and I learn something new and more faster and also I do land clearing also and every time I watch one of your videos I pick up more n more
Great content as always. I just picked up a new Bobcat E20. It’s impressive what a 4,000 pound machine can dig or push. Now I better quick watching and get to making money! Thanks!
"Road Bond" is not a term I have ever heard used here up north. Judging from how you use it as a base material, the quarries here refer to this as "crusher run". Really works well on slopes if compacted with a vibratory roller. Thanks for the video.
I myself am thinking about getting a new 3560 Kubota in the next year or so. I’m doing my research now before I get one. also gonna be a first time tractor owner so Thanks for putting in the time to do these videos🍻
Great video! I'm in the process of rehabilitating my camp road. It will be challenging. Not much gravel to work with mostly rocks and quite a grade in a log stretch. Probably need heavy equipment but I only have a JD 1025R. Have some water bars on steepest run using 1 1/2-inch gravel and 3-inch gravel. A novice operator so I'm gleaning as much info as I can. Nice to see someone make it look easy.
Value beyond a price tag just watching you position that tractor, wait for the rock over, then gently glide that Blade to the sound! Total Master of your Trade and your creeping the controls to set that Box Blade is Art Work My Good Southerner! This is like the third time watching and it never get's old, pick something new up each time on your operator skills I transform to My lot for hours of frustration and confusion of not being able to capture the 'Magic' ! Ha, Lol. My 94 Honda 22 HP I just picked up is so 'touchy' on the controls? Adjusting the float helps but the lift is impossible to get to slowly 'creep' up and down on the hi-lo spots. My point of view is lower with my 5 ft. Tarter BB, I can't quite see into the box to watch that front blade? Angle of the dangle, what kills Me is to watch you skim in reverse pushing the blind spot of the back blade! Touching just the edges or a slight high spot. You make it look easy My Main Man! Enjoy the vid's and Southern accent/hospitality. Reminds Me of some old AF buddies from Virginia, Kentucky and of course South Carolina. Stay safe and healthy from Northern Nevada!
If you want to just play with your toys for a few weeks this is the way to go. But in reality spreading gravel for a driveway should only take a few minutes. A skilled truck driver should be able to sprinkle an even layer the length of your driveway to start. Then maybe an hour of back dragging with a skid steer and you're done.
Looks good brother, sold my Massey Ferguson last week, ordered a L2501HST just so I could be more like you! 🤣 EA boxes are steep, probably going with a heavy duty Catawba brand made over near Taylorsville NC. Locally NC made using US steel..... on my Japanese tractor, oh well.
Great informative videos bud. Just found your channel and will now start my day in the bathroom watching your videos before work. I’m sick of that Jake Paul kid now anyways lol. Thanks for the free orientation’s and keep up the great work!!!
Big time value. I have purchased land and will be putting in my own driveway (about 250 feet). I do have a question. In this video you used a box blade. What is the benefit of the box blade for grading over a land plane? I have both but have not used either. My guy that is removing the trees is scheduled to do his thing in the next month or so. Thank you for your videos. I learn a ton from you. Be safe.
You don't use your front end loader on the tractor much I noticed. My first tractor was a shuttle shift and I didn't like all the dang spinning it wanted to do. Then I traded for a hydrostatic transmission tractor and it will handle the front end loader awesome similar to a backhoe. I miss your videos that you have been delaying. Keep em coming Todd. Enjoy your Toddcast.
By the way I would really like to hear a podcast with you and Dirt Perfect. You guys have such a interesting and varied approach to things while accomplishing the same quality work.
Do you need a cdl to drive your Ford six wheeler dump truck? Love the box blade work, that’s what I am running now along with a brush hog. Please consider making more box blade videos. Thanks
That machine must have nice foot pedals, it took you about a minute to a minute-and-a-half to quit using the dummy sticks so you could grade. I can't remember from your original everything attachment video when you got your new box blade. Did you get the swing on your back blade?
When you replace or up grade your excavator will you look at a Kubota. Mike Morgan on outdoor with the morgans has a Kubota excavator not sure of the size but it's very impressive with how much power it has.
We had to rent a Kubota kx71 to put down some drains a few days back and it’s super fast and super jerky lol. Our 88 was 100 miles away so we rented the little one but it’s totally different than running a larger machine 😂
You don't think that driveway being as steep as it is could have used a water bar or two? That dip you filled in wasn't a messed up one was it? Just seems like that was a good place to have one right there above the cut in for the approach that leads up to the basement. I don't know because I wasn't there and it's very hard to see the steepness of hills and which way things are pitched on video that you can see when on the ground doing the grading. I'd imagine though that the driveway would have pitched away from the retaining wall toward the ditch on the hill and if that was a fouled up water bar it would pitch that way as well. Any thoughts or clarification you can enlighten me with about what I've pondered about here would be helpful in seeing the broader picture rather than the small one I'm seeing on my phone. Good video. Ready to see how you tackle that driveway/switchback on the side of the mountain. That should provide some interesting videos. From Rowan county NC, stay safe and stay well. -Wil 👍
Yes they are jerky...my Bobcat 325 (7900 pound machine) is the same way but if needed I idle it down a bit but keep it in the power band. Never ran a big machine but probably would spoil me....LOL
Kubota makes good equipment. I was determined to buy one, but the sales person never followed up like we had agreed, then I could not get him on the phone. Therefore I went to Bobcat, got great service, huge rebate, 0% financing, and was able to go up a size in machine.
If you have a lot of washout in a drive and you have to bring a lot of road bond in, is it best to compact it in layers or all at once. I know you get better compacting in layers but was wondering if each compacted layer would attach to the other layers. I have a lot of deep washout and might need 8"-12" of road bond.
Thats why corrugated pipe under your driveway would be a bad idea use sdr 35 If u do use corrugated pipe keep your ditch narrow as the pipe or it will crush
Thanks for another great video! I have a question, I am located in Oconee County South Carolina and they do not carry "road bond" that you use. Is there another name it could possibly be called? Thanks again Todd!
Hey I'm live down the hill (mountain) from you. I'm in the process of starting my tree removal buisness and wondering where do you haul off your brush and stumps. What is the average cost of dump fees? Thanks in advance
Here's another classic that got me hooked! You are the best and the originator! I was Obsessed!
I love watching the grading of the material. I have watched this video multiple times.... I love it!
These are the videos I like seeing from Todd.... not knocking his latest ones but I have enjoyed these!
Enjoyed the video. Got value in watching the tilt angles on the box blade. I'm in the process of getting a tractor and already have a box blade. Thanks

Thank you very much!

Just bought a Land Pride box blade for my Kubota so I am grateful for all the tips you provided, keep up the good work.

welcome back to the broadcast. great to see you back !!...thumbs up
I have repaired a lot of rutted out driveways and I learn something new and more faster and also I do land clearing also and every time I watch one of your videos I pick up more n more
All I see when your music came on during gravel spread, was blippi! My dang kids love blippi!!! Me, not so much. Haha
That Kubota was making my back hurt just watching you bounce around there. Good work!
With the air ride seat they put in them is relaxing.
Great content as always.

When you get that jerky with a machine just throttle back a bit till she seems more manageable. Best wishes!
Hey do you have any videos explaining the different types of gravel and dirt and their uses? If not would you make one? @Digginlife21
I myself am thinking about getting a new 3560 Kubota in the next year or so. I’m doing my research now before I get one. also gonna be a first time tractor owner so Thanks for putting in the time to do these videos🍻
Hi Todd it’s really great 👍 to see part 2 of this project and I can’t wait to your Mack truck 🛻 back in action too and until next time TaRa for a bit.
Always enjoy your videos..... I'm nice job Todd....

from the Netherlands thanks for the video
Another 5 ⭐ video 💯❤️ IT keep up the amazing work. God bless y'all from south carolina viewer

Love watching yr vedio reminds me of the days when I was younger n went with my dad on jobs
Keep but the great work n I like yr work ethic
I used to run a Kubota a size or two bigger than that one for a concrete contractor. Loved that thing!
Todd that little excavator makes you look like a rookie and I know that's not the case.
Looks awesome bud and keep up the good work

I was really impressed with your tractor and box blade. A you are 💯% right about the smaller the equipment the quicker it is. Thanks for sharing.

Great value in your pointers on grading!
👌 Tidy job Todd 👍
Great video Todd. What is road bond? Im not sure if we have anything like that around here.

Haha you were bouncing all over the place on that excavator.
Great job!

Iay have missed it but have you looked at land planes? I have been considering getting one
Love the channel, great work. What is in the material you call road base??
Thinking to purchase a Kabota myself

nice job

Value from this video ??? Hell yes ....I didn’t have to pay a cable bill for something I liked to watch 😎
How do you like the hydraulic top link on your Kubota Tractor
Accidentally gave thumbs down. Great video. Very helpful. Hard to see crown but still very helpful
Thats why corrugated pipe under your driveway would be a bad idea use sdr 35
If u do use corrugated pipe keep your ditch narrow as the pipe or it will crush
Is your tractor the MX 6000?
Thanks for another great video! I have a question, I am located in Oconee County South Carolina and they do not carry "road bond" that you use. Is there another name it could possibly be called? Thanks again Todd!
Crusher run
Hey I'm live down the hill (mountain) from you. I'm in the process of starting my tree removal buisness and wondering where do you haul off your brush and stumps. What is the average cost of dump fees? Thanks in advance
Hey Todd, how can I get in touch with you about your 750? Thanks Evan
What model of mini is that ?
Value my freind.
Value for sure
I like the Kubota line
I have the same tractor. Want a picture of a killer remount point in the back where it's actually useful and less likely to get smacked by something?
Ole mack sounds like its eating money .... i had a case dozer like that .....
French drain should not get crushed there's nothing there to crush just Stone in a ditch... Drain tile I can see..
It is only jerky because of the operator
Would love to be able to chat with you via phone to share how impactful you and your videos have been to me. Let's do it?
turn down the throttle much smoother that way
It looks like a u 17.
Great video! What is roadbond?
