I have well over 10,000 hours in Destiny 2 and even I didn't know about the existence of this Pulse Rifle. However, I'm incredibly happy to know that it does exist, as this thing as a complete monster with it's "Unsated Hunger" perk. I have no idea who has been keeping this potentially meta Pulse Rifle a secret... but it's not a secret anymore. Enjoy!

the Season of the Deep weapons do really well in the Hardware mode since you don't have any abilities active in there but jumps
There's an artifact perk that doubles the stats given by Unsated Hunger as well
It's weird how many sleep on Season of the Deep weapons - that origin trait is a wee bit better than Surplus (10 more handling and reload, 5 less stability) and isn't taking up a 3rd column slot, and comes from using your abilities rather than saving saving them.
There are other weapons in each of season of the deep's weapon archetypes that have similar rolls while having strictly better origin traits. They're good but ultimately, there are just better options.
@@confiteor266 - I can't think of any seasonal set this expansion or previous that has an origin trait strictly better than essentially having Surplus for free.
Land Tank, Extrovert, Right Hook, Ambush, Noble Deeds, Head Rush, Dragon's Vengeance - none of these are strictly better than Unsated Hunger.
Some of the weapons themselves are better, the perk combos or archetypes from Season of the Deep aren't fantastic, but they are the highest stats when accounting for this origin trait and they are slept on.
Abilities are the strongest thing in pvp you can't waste them just to make a gun usable.
@@fotis3v480 - nowhere did I suggest wasting them, abilities don't come back instantly and without effects like devour they all take about a minute; some faster of course but overall, close to a minute.
Surplus, that I'm comparing to due to the similarity of stats, means not using abilities, which is more wasteful.
I absolutely love my crafted thin precipice sword on my strand Hunter for pvp it's so good and been using it all season along with quicksilver and the final warning sidearm and my crafted perpetualist strand Auto rifle from the season of the defiance, and with my aspects and fragments I push alot of tangles and wormies lol what I have in my sword is hungry edge, balanced guard, enhanced traits of unrelenting and chain reaction and I put on back up mag for more ammo capacity. I just finally unlocked different times to craft I'll be crafting it very soon. I also like targeted redaction void hand cannon with destabilizing rounds 😉
The SMG from Season of the Deep (Rapacious Appetite) is also very strong- it’d be great to see you craft and try it!

Im tellin ya, Autumn Wind (same archetype) is more slept on than a matress at a cheap motel. Autumn Wind with Perpetual Motion/Headseeker/smallbore/Ricochet rounds/Stability MW, has 94 stability with Perpetual, and 100 aim assist with Headseeker active and targeting adjuster and targeting mod on helmet. Its an absolute laser. Plus the holo sights give such a clear foeld of view.
Eveybody is about to turn in their crucible engrams. Autumn Wind would be a great focus. So many great perk combos.

Differen times is my go to PvE strand pulse. Mele kills give it unravelling rounds and and precision final blows drop threadlings, so with necrotic grips on it's crowd clearing green mayhem 😅

I legit crafted these enhanced rolls today and I am so happy with it
I'm like a Veteran Blueberry, but I made this roll and it did well. When I can get 12 kills, then that translates to 30-40?!?
Also, for PvE adds, this with Substinece and Hatchling...and maxing the clip is pretty fun.
This and the Krait seem to have their clip go forever.

Dragon Shadow just dropped off the earth but use your dodge with a solar build for radiant and 100 handling on top of that guns perk might be the play? Plus trip mine and prox knife last so you dont feel as bad just chucking them.

I enjoyed watching the live so much I went and pulled my own out of my vault and beamed the ever loving hell out people with it.
Its such a fun and good Pulse Rifle.
Had a crafted in the vault, popped enhanced perks on it after seeing this. Ran a game of hardware, felt great. Ran comp- 24 kills, 2.4kd, including a 10 streak where I shot a warlock out of stasis super after purposely burning my abilities for unsated proc.
I'm not good at crucible this gun is just wildly good RN if you can aim
Ive been using this pulse for a bit with the roll your using but I speced more into range since Ill get stability from dumping abilitys

I don’t play PVP, but use this gun all the time, mine makes a green storm with hatchlings. It’s so much fun.
I actually use heated up in 3rd slot I believe. Which I never accept on any other gun but man it feels like it has built in zen moment

I've used this weapon since it came out. It's such a good weapon. First time using it though, I got so excited cause it reminded me of Grasp of Malok pulse from Destiny 1. It feels very similar to it.
Either D1 or 2, I got a blue rare fast pulse with old skool hc rounds and full auto perk.
Then accidentally deleted it.

Slickdraw on Different Times will fix the stability issues for PVP. I’m a PVE main BUT I like crit shots that perk helps this is my FAVORITE PULSE RIFLE
pulses got precision damage buff but lightweights are really nasty with moving target
it's my most used pulse and gun. I don't know why anyone would have not gotten this.
remember to use the artifact mod that upgrades that origin trait

I’ve been using it for a long while now. I put chambered compensator on mine and it’s a damn lazer beam.
Should try the Hand Cannon from that same season. It's a 120rpm that feels almost just as good as Igneous. I absolutely love it.
I do really like Targeted Redaction, but its stats are hard to justify against the Igneous unless you're specifically running a void / destabilizing build

I run, Small Bore, Flared Magwell, Enhanced Well-Rounded, Enhanced Keep-Away with a Stability Masterwork. REALLY fun on my Mothkeepers strand build. Grenade spam keeps Well Rounded up at ×2 consistently and spam abilities on Cooldown for Unsated Hunger. Becomes the biggest stat monter in the game

Love the feel of the weapon with all of it going. Small Bore, Flared Magwell, Well-Rounded, Keep-Away and Stability Masterwork.

Bungie needs to promote this game on official ESports tournaments. It would be so hype to see pro teams compete 💸
it wouldn't work in ESports tournaments. Too many variables at play, ESports tend to require an even playing field, and Destiny has never had that. If they had loadouts that everyone has access to, like the blue weapons in collections, then there might be some room, but the randomness inherent from having random weapon perks and random armor mods eliminates that. Not even beginning to address Exotics.
When D2 launched there was some hope Destiny would get into the ESports scene, but there's too many problems that would need addressing before it would ever have a spot in that scene.
Which is a shame, because I love this game.

Try the 120 HC next. Keep away and well rounded played the same way. Its not the best, but pretty fun.

@@xanmarinoo most in momentum control. just gotta learn how to play super fast and know the spawns and u can get them in any mode, just easier in momentum. been going for columns a little over 2 years now
I use it with corkscrew, ricochet, subsistence and hatchling for PvE. Definitely a slept on pulse rifle

I have a crafted one with enhanced subsistence and enhanced hatchling JUST for pvp and it shreds. Just hold down the BRRRRRRRR button and wiggle the giggle stick.

Peace of mind is still better imo, if you’re on a void subclass, but darkest before is the best. 100 stability 46 range next season with enhanced perks
In terms of stats, Different Times is way ahead because of that origin trait.
Piece of Mind has an easier time getting 100 stability through EC as Void, PM, Ricochet, etc, whereas Different Times needs Heating Up to accomplish that, but with everything stacked PoM is significantly behind in Handling and Reload, because of Unsated Hunger, as is pretty much every other PR
Surplus is considered a good perk by many.
Unsated Hunger is similar in stats - 10 more handling and reload, 5 less stability, but is activated by using abilities rather than saving them and isn't taking the 3rd column slot Surplus usually occupies.
That's the value of this perk, essentially Surplus for free.
I still swear by my Headseeker/Perpetual Motion Autumn Wind. Just crafted this tho to see how it is
Scalar potential is the same really, probably equal to in power.
In my opinion scalar is better
Weapon preference and feel is a large part of how well someone does with it, but Unsated Hunger makes those weapons highest stats (in their archetype at least, potentially overall) and it's an origin trait with very easy activation.
They're different pulses with different use cases. I personally would use Scalar if I'm trying to hold onto abilities (like in an Arthrys's build) but if I'm running Nightstalker then Different Times helps me remember to burn my abilities and focus on the gunfights
It's my go to for Hardware.
Messenger would have picked up a lot of those kills.
