Hey mate, the first time I submerged it was in a very shallow area of the local beach where I live. It was in just 6 inches of water and it seemed fine. I think with this system it's very much a case of repetition building confidence. I've been in small waves with this now and feel happy enough with its protective qualities. Onwards and upwards. The flat port doesn't allow the wide angle to work correctly as there is no curvature and neither does it push the water far enough away from the lens to allow closer focusing on the water line etc.
