For those who talk mostly nonsense about the N-035 Irbis-E radar at Su35. This radar is currently the strongest radar in all production aircraft in the world. The radar uses both electronic and mechanical scanning, with a passive phase antenna array mounted on a two-stage hydraulic drive unit. The drive unit mechanically rotates the antenna at 60 ° in azimuth and 120 ° in inclination, while the antenna scans using electronically controlled beam in azimuth and elevation angle. The use of electronic control and mechanical additional rotation of the antenna allows the maximum angle of rotation of radar beams to reach a very wide 120 °. The radar can scan not only widely, but also over long distances that are four times larger than the radar N001 of the original Su-27 with the possibility of tracking aircraft with a radar cross section of three square meters at a distance of up to 400 km. These long-wave radars are thought to be much more capable of detecting stealth aircraft, as most stealth fighters are optimized to avoid X-band radar waves. Certainly, after 2 deep modernizations, from the original Su27 derivative, today's Su35S is the most potent 4 ++ fighter, with many characteristics of 5th generation fighters, and certainly until the introduction of the Su57, currently the most potent fighter in the Russian Air Force. The SU-35 is way less agile than Rafale don't say it can beat in a dogfight a Twin engine delta wing especially the Rafale but all is decided by long range missiles and detection.
Su35 is one of fastest heavy jetfighter in the world and have a higher altitudes and a faster reach so yes su35 is the king of dog fight because in dog fight the first to reach higher altitudes have greater chance to strike. as for who have more range well that depends on the missile and not the jetfighter but just in case for those who want to know more french Rafael are armed with MICA 80km missile and R_77 that goes to 110km and its quite slow compared to the Russian on the other hand the Russian mostly use KH31P_110km missile and this one is the fastest missile in the world you will also find the kh59M_200km strike missiles. Also important to know here on the use of missiles most country that buy su_35 have access to both as this missiles arent very special and the sell isnt as strict as the jetfighter.... To be honest comparing the pride of Russia to french jetfighter is bullying if you are really looking for a good comparison you can check the USA jetfighter and the MC_57 now this is fun as for comparing the su to the Rafael everyone can tell they arent in the same league from there speed let alone other stuff such as radar anti missile system and so on .

Actually rafael isnt that bad but the problem is the french people refuse to upgrade there anti missile and radar system and also there missile MICA are slow and have a short range of 80km and they have another models that can go to 100km but the accuracy is trash since the radar is bad and the explosion is bad as well so the jetfighter isnt bad but everything else is bad and the french cant afford to lose the Rafael since it cost almost 90M $ each and they know they will lose them with how bad the radar is. I disagree they escaped most important part about manoeuvrability/ altitudes / weapon that can be mounted / anti missile system / radar and most importantly what type of missile they can carry i mean we arent comparing civilians plain here or cargo plain we are looking at jetfighter where are the weapon and the missiles thats very important for me i had to look elsewhere to understand the bigger picture.

Which roles can it fulfill that the su35 cannot? It's radar is unique in Europe doesn't mean it's more powerful than the su35 radar.
What if I told you that the operational capacity of the aircraft is limited by it needing pristine conditions to operate? What about the fact that it's engines are so far rear of it's aft stabilizers that it has the IR signature of 3rd generation fighters? There is also the issue of poor space management in the airframe. To get the combat range stated, it needs three massive external drop tanks that it'll have to shed for safety purposes. Those drastically slow the aircraft, hinder it's manuverability and take up weapon space. Other equipment that should be built in like high precision targeting sensors must also be attached in pods, further hurting it's performance. The radar is not leading in 4th gen, the fueling probe is non retractable, likely blocking some FOV and being a distraction etc etc etc. It's not better than the su35, the f18, the f15 or many of it's peers. The f16 is a decent comparison.
Yeah, 400km radar is worse then 130km.. how I am annoyed by a biased people, you can not imagine… SU35 flanker is much faster, flies much higher, has higer weapon load and is the most maneuvering jet ever bouilt, so much how Rafale is superior… if Su35 was stealth it would be 5th gen

Both are the best of the 4.5 generation, and any conflict between the two would be decided by individual circumstance and competence.
Although I can imagine the Rafale's radar capability would give it an edge in many scenarios.
Can't say the Su-35 is a 4.5 gen fighter; It is outclassed by a lot of 4th gen fighters: lack of data linking, obsolete PESA radar, too high costs, poor quality armament, medium avionics...It's just an overhauled Su-27

Oui, ce doit être un français. Ils sont tellement enflé d'orgueil qu'ils refusent de voir la vérité. Un SU 35 piloté par un russe ne fera qu'une bouchée de cet avion. Il n'y a pas pire aveugle que celui qui refuse se voir. Même concernant leurs voitures qui n'arrivent pas à percer le marché Américain, est ce qu'ils reconnaissent que les berlines Allemandes sont meilleures que les leurs ?
