Great overview. I think the 'bold' doesn't carry over because it's bolding the inner text itself, but if you use the 'Appearance' in the typography settings, you can change the font for the entire block and that would be synced.
Is it on Core to allow 3rd party blocks to take advantage of this? Or on the 3rd party vendors to add support? I assumed it was the latter... and if that's true, let's go hound Tom!
Thank you for that very comprehensive explanation and demo. Very cool! Another question: I find it super annoying to have different default settings for typography and spacing between GB, GP and core blocks. How do you deal with that?
That is frustrating, for sure. GeneratePress as my theme handles a lot of default spacing and styles, but now with GenerateBlocks having css classes aka global styles built in, it’s way easier to manage spacing and styling consistently across your site. Especially when you combine those global styles with patterns
Man, very cool! Fingers crossed it gets expanded into third party blocks! **Cough** GB **Cough**
Very well presented! I agree, it's is an amazing feature and makes creating well designed websites so much easier.
Totally agree! Here’s to hoping it makes its way into WordPress core with support for 3rd party blocks

Ahh, good catch. It's impressive how well it already works, especially when considering I tossed in GenerateBlocks elements into the pattern too

I honestly have no idea! Let's hound him either way
@@Permaslug at the moment it's just image, heading, and para I believe (as they roll out they'll increase).
@@Permaslug I've got a flaming pitchfork ready!
It would be awesome this override feature to be supported in GB Pro. Joining the strike! :))
Really good content!!!
