Gold is boring and reminds me of cheap Mono shocks at auto zone
They should have stayed red especially for the $$$
Koni uses the gold metallic color for their shocks with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD). Since these new EVO shocks for the F53 chassis also have the FSD module, Koni started painting them the gold color.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered the EVO's after waiting nearly 5 months due to the nationwide backorder. I would have been shocked (pun intended) if Gold ones arrived after expecting Red ones! I just hope they're all Gold or all Red...
