A cute and fun show with a cute main lead, never have you seen a badass Miku puching giant robots. It was one of Gonzo and AIC's finer works before they fade away. One of the finest shows in the mid 2000s that you hardly find in today anime market.
An anime about an android chick saving a bounty hunter from a terrible fate, who is trying to catch criminals along with the occasional help of several other characters, while searching for his missing daughter who got lost during a great calamity? sounds original to me. The drama in this anime is well-executed.

First anime I ever watched in full, seriously, episode by episode on my computer. I shall never forget that sweet feeling I had back then when I would tune in and watch this . It may seems strange to some of you, but when you're just 14 years old, wanting some distraction from hard times at school and that you only have an hour of access to the family computer, that makes a difference . It gives rhythm to your life ! You record the opening on an old device from the nineties that was already obsolete back then just so you can replay the song in your bed at night in secret ... I would endure the worst bullying at school silently, just to not make a fuss and not to have your rights to the computer with-held by your parents even though you know you're innocent and those bastards deserve to go to jail ! But you endure it in silence, because when you come back to home from school , when your homework is finished and that you have just an hour, to get around your business, you would watch Solty Rei . No video games , no flash games on the Internet , no Facebook games . Just Solty Rei . And you keep her kawai face with you in your head the next morning, to help you going through another day in hell in your fucking shitty innercity school ... I don't miss these days, not a single bit, but you gotta admit : it's those kind of experiences that help to build your culture and shape you into a man of great taste and wit . Thank you again and forever, Solty.

I was at my local Half-Price when I found this anime as a complete series--helps it's bright orange, so it stood out a lot. I had never heard of it, but I wanted a new anime to add to my collection, and it was a day before my birthday. So after looking through the boxset, the picture of (almost) the entire cast walking behind Roy, Solty and Rose really drew me in, as it's not very often you get to see an official artwork of that. It reminded me a bit of the ED of CLANNAD After Story, and so I decided to buy it. A couple of the discs are sadly scratched to the point they're almost unwatchable, but I was surprised by the anime, and fell in love with it, especially the characters (Christopher Sabat tends to play grumpy bear characters, doesn't he x3?). I'm glad I made that decision to buy it on a whim, my brother and I had a great time with it. It's a bit sad, though, that not that many people have seen it, and it worries me that the sales weren't too great, which I hope is not the case.

As long as the scratches are NOT on the label side, a tool called Disk Doctor (or is it Disc Doctor?) can restore it. Also works for game disks.
