No it isn't! Read my other comment. I'm not a BADASS my no means but training like these guys do,and then once you're in the cage with your opponent that you've talked 💩 to them and talked 💩 about them, you realisenyour mistake so you just throw low kicks? POSSIBLY ENDING A CAREER? WHERE'S YOUR HONOR SIR? WHERENIS THE HONOR IN THAT?
annoys me when some people think leg kicks aren't such a big deal.😤 Then you remind them that most people act like their soul is being squeezed like an orange if they just accidently bump their leg against a coffee table.😆🤫🤫
I sparred one time a very good Guy who is on the edge being a professional and I think he landed 2 or 3 hard Leg Kicks. I was absolutely done. My Leg was Blue, Purple and Green for Weeks.
@@Cilent__it’s common amongst people who aren’t familiar with combat sports/martial arts. It isn’t intuitive/obvious to the uninitiated that one good kick to the thigh can be the end of a fight altogether.
as thai grew up watching weekend muay thai live on tv with my dad since the 90s, even some thicc harden leg fighters can't survive เจาะยาง (lit. pop the tire = leg kick), when they can't stand any longer, it's called ยางแตก (blown out tire). Seeing skinny leg fighter and my first thought always be like, you wouldn't stand the leg kick for long with those chopsticks. lol
Had a friend who was 20kg lighter than I am and blazing fast. Could take a lot of low kicks from him untill he hit the right spot. Could not walk normal for 2 weeks. Learned a valuable lesson that day.
Have a buddy who thought leg kicks were useless. So I kicked him at around 40ish percent right on the meat of the thigh. He couldn’t walk right for a few days and had a new found respect for leg kicks.
An this is what happens when you think all you need is ju-jitsu and boxing to be able to fight it the cage!!! I’m not saying these skills are not needed im definitely these skills are needed but the most important is Muay Thai!!! And this is the reason why!!!! All trees can stand tall with strong roots but if you cut the roots the tree doesn’t mean anything!!! They should’ve been checking these kicks
One thing i don't get about this fighters is that the low kicks are usually one-sided as if the other fighter doesn't know how to throw a leg kick of his own after feeling the first two shots
I can only think that it's that many fighters just don't train that kick enough- it's not as eye-catching or appealing to use as, say, a roundhouse kick, and I think that it takes more self-discipline to train and to use in the ring.
Also timing and technique come from practice and repetition, which also improves shin conditioning. A fighter who focuses more on kicking will have more dense shin bones for example. There are so many ways to approach a fight that it leaves several skills to practice (or neglect). Thats the beauty of it, you never know what weapons someone brings to the fight until you feel them. I hope i clarified more than confuse, thanks for reading, just an opinion from experience
If you are less experienced in the offense of lowkicks i can guarantee youre less experienced in the defense of them just the way grappling is an equalizer lowkicks are too
I can't speak for that but in boxing when someone hits you with a good body shot, trying to get them back in the body is basically showing them that it hurt you or you were effected by it so they'll continue to go for your body. Maybe it's the same concept? Could be wrong though.
You step into it, and unload the weight off the target leg, Stepping into it, you still get hit, but the kick will not have developed its full power when it hits you, if you unload the leg that is being kicked, the hip, knee and ankle can flex and absorb some of the power taking some of the "snap" out of it. or, the other defense is to step out of range if you can. If you stand on the target leg and stay at the range it was thrown to? It hurts more/does more damage to you. Watch how the Thais check their openent's leg kicks that's how you do it.
That is one thing I never got if you are a fighter you have to protect your leg at all d*** times I don't understand how these people are fighters and they don't know that simple little thing😊
Easier said than done. In an ideal scenario you can check a lot of leg kicks by lifting the leg, but in the real world it's not that easy when both fighters are perpetually moving at odd angles, also it's not easy to check a fast hard kick. These guys have conditioned their legs to some extent to take a lot of strikes but when hit in the same spot over and over even conditioning is only going to go so far against another professional fighter who can deliver a mule-level kick. The one big disadvantage is that it can leave you open for a head strike so it's a gamble but,leg attacks are so painful - if you can't even stand, you're out of a fight, period.
Obviously, you don't respect the sport. Which is fine cause it's also for entertainment. I just gotta ask, why not watch boxing instead? Or a different focused sport. If you can't defend something, your opponent will use it to their advantage to win.
Attacking the same leg repeatedly is just savage 😭
not defending it is more insanely mad stupid strat

But the right way. That's how it's learned.😊

No defense for leg kicks??
Has to be one of the shitiest thumbnail pics I’ve seen for a video😂😂😂😂
No counter on this strategy ?? 🙄🙄
You step into it, and unload the weight off the target leg,
Stepping into it, you still get hit, but the kick will not have developed its full power when it hits you, if you unload the leg that is being kicked, the hip, knee and ankle can flex and absorb some of the power taking some of the "snap" out of it.
or, the other defense is to step out of range if you can.
If you stand on the target leg and stay at the range it was thrown to? It hurts more/does more damage to you.
Watch how the Thais check their openent's leg kicks that's how you do it.

you will understand when you fight in the ring

It takes many blows of the axe to chop down a tree.
Low kicks are annoying and are a cheap way to win.
A win’s a win….
Feel like I’m watching a 5 year old kid play mortal kombat shits annoying
Those repeated kick-fests are soooo boring to watch ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Same with wrestling and boxing homie..
