    I had mine ordered with the car, so it will be interesting to see if you can tell any difference between not having it and now, but that's the reason I got it because of what you explained at the start.

    I ordered one on my Camaro LT1. It came painted flat black with Chevrolet Performance engraved on it.

      @David Szakacs, nice!! It will look great and also eliminate body/ frame twisting. Super easy to install😉👍🏻

    My 2SS has the strut brace installed as a factory option but after seeing how amazing it looks painted i'm going to do the same. My SS is the cherry red tint coat so my plan is to do the ends mat black and the aluminum part with the tint coat paint. Thank you for posting this....what a great idea you came up with!!

      @John Uhl, that will look awesome with the wild cherry color. Tip: for the black I used the “interior” black color listed for the 21’ Camaro on TouchUp Direct For the ends with the matte clear coat to get the satin finish. Here is that link: touchupdirect.com/touch-up-paint/chevrolet/camaro/#pf-year=2021&pf-color=12078&pf-product=aerosol
      Then I used the correct color for my car (satin steel) with the high gloss clear for the center bar. Let me know if you have any questions.

    My 2022 ss 1le came with this bar just wondering if it's in the 1le package or if it's extra I guess I should check my sale sticker

      @Kenny Ward, glad you got your 22 1LE!! The strut brace is an “extra option” that is sometimes added by the dealer like the lug nut locks. Super easy for them to bolt on and tack on price.

    The strut tower brace looks great. I have a 2018 2SS 1LE and I just picked up an unpainted strut tower brace that I plan to paint. Is the spray paint that you used considered “high heat” or is high heat paint not necessary? While GM did a incredible job with including a number of coolers on our cars to keep them cool at the track, it still gets hot under the hood. How has your paint job held up over the past several months?

      @AverageHero  2 роки тому

      @Jeff Genestra, great question! Yes, it does get pretty hot under the hood and where I live it also averages 110-115F in the summer!! The paint I used is “automotive grade” but not labeled high heat. With that being said, my strut brace still looks great. There is no cracking, bubbling or distortion that I can see. I hope that helps. Sorry for the delayed response.

    Looks good. Performance badge isn't centered with engine cover.

      @usacshaker1, thanks for the comment! The camera angle makes it look like the badge is offset but it is actually in the very center of the strut brace.

    I have watched most of your Camaro videos, and it has given me a lot of good ideas for when my 1LE comes in. Why I am writing is to ask if you will be doing any new videos on your 1LE. Again they have been very informative and I really like your channel!

      @Strike95, thank you so much for the comments! I do planning on doing more hopefully soon. I had a hell of a year last year with family sickness and moving twice which disrupted my “creative” space to create content. Now that I am more settled, I should be getting back to it in the next couple months. Congratulations on getting your 1LE!! I love mine and still drive it daily. What color did you get?

      @@AverageHero I ordered mine A10, Shadow Grey Metallic, red knee pads, red seat belts. I'm retired Army and my left knee isn't what it is to be. That's why I went with an A10. My Trans Am is a 6 speed, it is a 750 hp/507tq, mainly weekend only car.

      @@AverageHero Just giving you an update. I have had my 1LE for a little while now. I just did the STB on mine today. Came back here to watch yours before I installed mine. Double checking the tq specs.

    How big of a difference did it make handling wise. Looks good

    • @AverageHero
      @AverageHero  2 роки тому +1

      @michael23 23, thanks for the comment. With everyday driving (my driving), you won’t probably notice the difference but I do notice the difference that my frame doesn’t “twist” when going over offsets like driveways and speed bumps. For track where it is important to keep the frame and body rigid to keep the most rubber on the ground, it makes a big enough difference to add something that is cost effective and simple to attach.
