For kids who like to build, I recommend Keva Planks. They are the simplest of simple. They are, as the name suggests wooden planks. They are about 1.5 inches by 4 inches of planks smooth, light colored wood. However what you can build with them is limitless- you can even make curved structures. Each set comes with a book of suggestions and challenges. I fist learned about them on a field trip to science museum . My students were enthralled and would have spent the entire trip there. A near by parent told me that he used them in architecture school. They are great for all ages (after the put-everything-in-my-mouth stage because too much drool will warp them)

Beyblades have been an obsession in my house for about 2-3 years, and they are still my 7 (almost 8) year olds go to toy. He even makes Beyblades out of Legos. They have been a long lasting interest for sure!
All five of our kids skipped training wheels, and my youngest started riding a regular 2 wheeler right after he turned 3 - thanks to our Boot Scoot balance bike. It is 9 years old now, and we have replaced the tires. But it is going strong. We LOVE that bike.
Yay! I just got my daughter one of those cameras! How fun! I agree Angela- we are all about the experiences versus "stuff" this year. We got our 16 yr old concert tickets. I only have 5 kids and it's a lot of "stuff ". And I love the outdoor stuff. So much healthier for everyone! Thank you for more great ideas!!

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you before, but sometimes the sound on your videos is off. The sound only comes out of one side, instead of both sides of audio. It isn't everytime, but often this happens, and it only happens to me on your videos. Maybe you use different cameras at different times and one of them has an issue? Just thought I would mention it.

In uk and in my 30’s. I remember when my brother was in his teens he had a load of bay blades. It’s interesting to see them come back into fashion.

The sound is only coming through one side of my headphones, so I’m guessing something is off on her microphone connection.
