I cant wait to start my publishing class in a week!! I'll be designing a literary journal for writing and art submissions I just need to know the process and workflow of InDesign so this is helping me so much!!
Hi, I was having the same issue and here is how I was able to solve it. If you are on a mac, you need to use shift+command and click on the rectangle/page number and then hit delete. Afterwards you need to make page 2 into page one and to do that click on the three line menu near the pages, layers and libraries panel and uncheck “allow document pages to shuffle”. Next you will right click on page 2 and select “numbering & section options”. Select “start page numbering at” and input 1. Click ok, ignore indesign’s warning and click ok in the warning window. You should be good to go after that. Let me know if that helps and if you have any questions!
Very informative although you do move a bit fast...found myself pausing more than with other tutorials. It also isn't non-Mac friendly..but still there's a lot here!
While the tutorial is generally helpful, you really needed to go more into the "why" on many of your choices. For instance, WHY do we need to check "facing pages"? What does that even do?
Hi! To organize pages for printing in InDesign, you typically set up your document with the correct page size and layout. If you're creating a booklet, you might want to set the document to be in "Facing Pages" mode. This will allow you to see how the pages will look side by side when printed. Make sure to also consider bleed and margin settings to ensure everything prints correctly. If you need help with specific settings or steps, feel free to ask! Cheers!
@@envatotuts Yes, I need to know the order of pages. For example which page number 01 faces to page number last. I want to know how to order these pages after complete my booklet design.

What is the purpose of the small rectangles placed in the top corners of the pages?
How do we organise page for printing?
