Hey Ken my mom was in a band before I was born and she open my music knowledge from Beethoven Dave Clark Five The Beatles Simon and Garfunkel and I loved being able to get to listen to all the different music genres with Neil Diamond Kenny Rogers and not just saying that I'm just a hard rock person or this person but I am just open-minded to listening to other things and what want to be a vocal teacher to people because you are awesome and very talented and very knowledgeable and people are lucky to have you as a teacher

Do you know some opera singers like Tito Schipa, Beniamino Gigli, or Renata Tebaldi, Ebe Stignani, Claudia Muzio...They sung really, really well. I winder if you like Ken if you'd like them. He talks a lot about bel canto or opera singing in general, but doesn't show that much of it (obviously, that's what he aims to teach). I reccomend "Poveri Fiori" with Muzio and "Che gelida manina" with Schipa just to listen and think if you just might like it.

Awesome vocals and great advice. You are so right about setting the mark high and trying to do what other artists do. One of the very things that helped me become a good pianist was chasing after some of the best pianists of our time. Great vocals Ken. Neil Diamond wasn't the perfect vocalist but not many can cover him as well as you did.
Neil is an icon of our times. He lights people afire and sets them free in their spirits. It's cool to be able to even approximate what he does, as far as lifting people up and making them happy.

Its a non issue IMO, you’re gonna sound like yourself. You can say “Wow, Ken sounds like Neil Diamond here.” but that’s ‘only’ bc he can, he has the ability, which is a great thing. Even pros who try to mimic others in tribute bands sound like themselves to an experienced ear underneath it all. 🙌🏼 The isolated vocal is the bomb Ken, shows how insanely accurate you are pitch wise. 👍🏼
