What are you using in the water to help the paint stick to fabric. I'm new to this and no clue what methocell or however it's spelled. Do you have another tutorial that explains more ??
Wow....looks fabulous, thank you for sharing.
The reason you get mud after a couple or 3 colours is the way you’re applying your colour. Usually the colour is dotted on to allow some spacing rather than covering the surface with just one colour, then adding another as you did. Most classic marbling patterns use many more than 3 colours.

So cool! Nice job
what a nice video thank you for sharring !!
Hi! Thanks for actually sharing your process from taking the print hanging your scarf to air dry. any videos here just show the paint dropping process so good job!- I am marbling some tshirts in my home kitchen- just wanted to ask for your advice. Any idea how i could make a large marbling tray- i dont have a permanent home studio space so im just trying to make something that i can easily take down when done. Thanks.
This looks great.
How much of the methylcellulose powder has to be added to the water. It would be great, if you could tell the exact measurement.
thank you for sharing does this work with just water and fabric paint?
Pneumonal absolutely pneumonal love ❤ it 😊 all the way from 🏴
Sweet teacher!
I want do it extremely 👀🤗
thank u for sharing
Hi...thank you for sharing your passion however, I’m new to this medium and would really appreciate a more detailed tutorial for us novices? Your scarf is very pretty👍🏽
Hi!!BEautiful work.If you could explain on what medium are you spreading the colours?? Is it water only?? and which colours have you used?.thanks
Very Nice 👍. thanks.
so beautiful I want to learn whether it's okay
That is awesome . I'm brand new to this. I have a few questions . What brand of paint do you use and where do you get all your supplies including the box and rake. Thank you so much
I'm wondering myself
your video inspired me to try it but I can not get the fabric paint to float like you. If it floats it will not spread, if I thin it more then it turns transparent and spreads too much. Please share the brand of paint you use and how you prepare it to be used for marbling. Thank you!
I would like to know what colors you used in this technique
What paint do you use and what to use to size the water please
I have done water marbel art with liquid starch with paper. It works well. However it doesnt work on canvas. Its runs or blends together any ideas
Hi Dear, What type of color did you use ya??
How much methylecellulise powder to hw much water?
Wh colors do u use ,are they fabric colors.
Pl tell
Which color u use??
It would be helpful to know what type of paints you use for this. Also the ratio of water to Methylcellulose for the bath. Thanks for sharing this, looks interesting!
Which dyes n chemicals usd or
what do you need for this
Can you please tell me what clamps are you using to hold the plastic sheets
Cheap plastic picnic clamps from Dollar Tree
@@modernvintagequilting2889 thank you .
Hello! Can you tell us what is the liquid you put the paint on? Thank you.
its methylcellulose mixed with water, you can buy 1 pound bags on amazon
This size in this video is methocel (not methylcellulose, which is a food thickener). Methocel is available on Amazon. Carrageenan is the traditional size used in this art form, but because of the hot summer, we used methocel.
Aren’t Methocel and Methylcellulose the same molekularka.sk/161-large_default/methocel-metylceluloza.jpg

Hi it is just paint and water or it has other product for prepare water?
The paint is floated on methycellulose, a plant based agent. The paint has also had water and gall added to increase its “spread-ability”
@@modernvintagequilting2889 thank you
Mam which color you use for this paint?
Orange and pink, I believe.
Opps! I just went back and watched this video again! I'm using orange, yellow, and a forest green I mix myself-no formula!!
To each their own, I guess.
Isit acrylic colors?
Yes, acrylic paints
Beautyful final patter! but I think you use too much paint needlessly.
I not see the finish picture. Please showing next time.
You did not explain well at all! Especially you said nothing about the supplies neede
Thanks, but you're using way too much paint. I can see a lot of it is just washing off in the water! That's not real marbling. Real marbling is dropping small drops of ink or thin paint onto the size. Paint should never be wasted. All things are finite resources on our Planet. Please read up on what real marbling is before you try to teach anyone about it.
Thank you for expressing your opinion. Like all art forms, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You do marbling your way. I’ll do it mine.
