The Philippines is for those who can't be annoyed by locals who love talking to the foreigners, asking them questions and stuffs. I've met a lot of foreigners from the west when I was in North America who aren't friendly and can't be bothered, they just like being alone or being with their own circle of people. This May be one reason why the number of foreign tourists in the Philippines is behind other Asian countries for they know how Filipinos are. We appreciate your kindness.

Yep. I rented a house on a highway, and the noisy bikes dont let up 24 hours a day....and then theres the horns, cars and bikes. Bloody hell, give it a rest.
I've been in the Philippines since March 2022. I've lived at least one month in Leyte, Cebu, Lapu Lapu, and I've 6 months in Puerto Princesa Palawan. I'm hoping to stay here for good. I love the Philippines. The longer I stay the more I understand the system and the officials. I'm planning on moving to Bukidnon in June.
You are right about drivers who refused to bring to your destination. It's not only in Manila area it's all over. Actually even locals suffer the same thing. We are refused by drivers several times. We apologize for that. Thank you for visiting our country.

Not in my experience. Go to other places in phl (cdo, iloilo, baguio etc) and they.not only bring you safely and comfortably to your actual destination, they give you your change too! Down to the last centavo lol

I am a local and I had that problem too getting a grab even waiting for 2 hrs and still couldn’t get a grab . Regular taxis won’t accept too for whatever reason .

Hi Ken. Many OFWs from all over the world come home for Christmas to be with their families, thus, the taxi shortage. An alternative to Grab taxi will be to rent a car for all your errands. Places to visit aside from Palawan are Batanes, Banawe Rice Terraces, Verde Island in Batangas, Mindoro, Romblon, Tagaytay City in Cavite, Nasugbu and Calatagan in Batangas, Mayon volcano in Bicol. That will keep you busy. Go to Batanes in the summer. It is the New Zealand of the Phils.

I am a local and I had that problem too getting a grab even waiting for 2 hrs and still couldn’t get a grab . Regular taxis won’t accept too for whatever reason .

Hi Ken. Many OFWs from all over the world come home for Christmas to be with their families, thus, the taxi shortage. An alternative to Grab taxi will be to rent a car for all your errands. Places to visit aside from Palawan are Batanes, Banawe Rice Terraces, Verde Island in Batangas, Mindoro, Romblon, Tagaytay City in Cavite, Nasugbu and Calatagan in Batangas, Mayon volcano in Bicol. That will keep you busy. Go to Batanes in the summer. It is the New Zealand of the Phils.

Even as a Filipino, coming home to visit family can be stressful due to the horrendous traffic, scamming taxi and tricycle drivers. Otherwise, all is good.
