I love this trail breakdown and featuring volunteers! As Chris added in description: From OMBA: « The Carp Barrens’ turtles and ground nesting birds are busy making little turtles and little ground nesting birds. Like most people, most if not all of them prefer doing so unobserved and uninterrupted. Consequently, the City of Ottawa will close off access to hiking and biking from next Tuesday until August 15 inclusive. Thanks for respecting the closure. » Hope this helps! RIDE ON 🤙🏻
Awesome breakdown, cheers! I've never been so this style of video gives us a great look at what to expect. I had it in mind that it was super flat out there, looks like fun.
This is probably my favourite trail in the region. It has just enough everything and loads of options for sessioning. I always heard that you could ride up Papa Bear but your breakdown and different angles has me convinced to try it (when the trail opens back up). Keep up the great videos!
Wow, I went there last Sunday as well, it was wet and muddy, also lots of mosquitoes. So many interesting rollers there, Overall it was more enjoyable than SMH😂
Great trail, very nice breakdown. If Eric could make the approach to the climb exiting the lollipop more smooth it'd be great. I keep trying but the roots leading up to it keep killing my speed; however, good to see that others can do it as is!
This was great…nice to see how the experts ride it…
Great video dude. We were talking about interviewing Eric and doing something similar. Can’t beat this though. Well done.

Nice. I almost always ride CCW but looks like CW has some fun lines too
Such a fun little skate park, nice work Eric 👍
Nice ! Dropping breakdown same day trail closes for 3 months- a tease !
You had me at sharks or beavers 😂 .
Great Video! I love riding with Eric for the heart rate breaks LOL!
I will revisit this video in August when Carp opens again.
YIEEEW!

Thanks! Will do 🙌🏻
love this, super interesting to know the back story. We're so lucky to have this trail, it's SO good for so many reasons. Absolute gem.
Yeah man it’s a wild place, looked like you had a great time there too ✌🏻

Right on! Speed is the key for papa bear 😁

Try not to focus too much on the roots as you’re going over them, look beyond them to the climb ahead and that may help you roll over them better 💪🏻
