Usually leverage, if no one is there to help. A good vise that is big enough to grab the exterior, can work of course, but make sure you use wood in between so you do not damage the housing. Also make sure you do not over tighten the vise. Gradually tighten a little more at a time as you attempt it. And a food grade lubricant spray. If you couldn't take it off like the video shows, then chances are there is rust and that's not good especially when it comes to food. As a final resort, use a mallet to tap around the base. Probably time for a new one. I want to make sure we are on the same page here, are you referring to the part where the motor base seats against the top housing? If so try wedging a screwdriver with a small tip between the base chrome cover plate and the shaft. If it still does not, try a small amount of WD-40 only with a spray tube to use it on the place where the motor shaft joins to the Mixer shaft. Let it sit for about 7-10 minutes, then try again. Keep motor section on top so no WD-40 drains into motor area, this could drain back into food when using the mixer later. If you do remove the shaft, ensure that you clean up that area very good and use a disinfectant before attaching a new shaft. Also spray a food grade lubricant afterwards. Do not for any reason use WD-40 on the Blade attachment area. If this is jammed, try using a pipe wrench to the exterior, while the mixer is in a vise. Good luck.
@@practicalreview6400 Many thanks! Yes, was rusty/dirty inside. I ordered the new shaft. Hopefully, the assembly will be an easier job. When do you upload the 2nd parts of the video?
Excellent Video! I've been looking everywhere for these instructions. Finally put the right search words in!
