Beautiful work!! Now do an indoor helicopter with variable collective! And uhh.... some kind of mechanically driven gyro for the tail rotor. I've built and flown a few of my own variations of Penni Helicopter by John Burkham. Lots of fun!
Go to hippocketaeronautics.com and do a search on VP hubs, there's a long thread on VP hubs, that gives links to several articles on building VP hubs. I also discuss some of the things I did for the PP VP prop in the link given above.
Yes, VP is allowed on F1D, I'd love to build one but it's just too big for the bus. F1R is a small version, plus the F1R flight records are longer than F1D for every ceiling category!

Mind blowing.. Beautiful mechanisms, thanks for sharing!
Yeeeeessssssss!
Thank you.
You're welcome. VP is nice in low ceilings and it's not too difficult to make.
Wonderful and smart!
Thanks Erdely, I hope you are building!
Nicely done!
Great explanations.
Awesome work! I’m new to these….where can I find the reference you mentioned on building VP assemblies? Appreciate your work.

Unbelievable !!!
I believe variable pitch is also allowed on F1D? BTW Beautiful C grain on that shaped balsa prop!

Can you sell this pitch ?
Sorry, I'm not here to sell anything, I'm trying to show you how to build it!
