Gambhir opened up on a lot of topics from both cricket and politics. Have followed him from his first test match and i remember when he was facing Andre Nel at one evening of a test match and he was damn good with third man shots.... I remember saying to my brother that finally India have found it's required opener at that time.

I have always admired Gautam Gambhir for his fearless cricket, his batting style and his determination to score runs for India. I am not a big fan of Dhoni, and do feel that he didn't give good farewells to legends like Laxman, Sehwag, Gambhir, Zaheer and Harbhajan. As a sportsperson I admire Gautam, but I don't like him as a person. First of all, the ideology of BJP is to create social disharmony. How can a person who is so well traveled and who has met people from all the world believe in the ideology of BJP. Secondly, he never cared to vote in any elections in India until he contested in an election. I don't believe that he was always on tour during the elections prior to 2019. He had opportunities to vote for MCD, Delhi Vidhansabha and Loksabha elections. But, he couldn't vote even once. He said that he wanted politicians to do good, but he never voted before 2019. The fundamental duty of a citizen is to elect a political leader. He didn't attend a meeting called on the pollution. He is busy with cricket commentary. Once you're elected to the parliament, it should be his priority to attend the parliament sessions. He should ask questions in the house and engage in debates. I criticized Sachin when he was a Rajya Sabha MP. He was nominated to do good, but he hardly attended the RS sessions. People who honestly wants to do public service should serve as our MP/MLA. These celebrities just talk and don't do much. Gautam may seem outspoken and transparent, I don't see a lot of honesty in his replies. I hope that he proves me wrong and works for the good of his constituency.

at 30:00 gautam gambhir is taking about how his vice captaincy was given to virat kohli for asia cup. Actually, sehwag was the vice captain for the CB series and since he was out injured, kohli was given that. Gambhir was never in scheme of things.

It not only just happened with gambhir but also with almost all the opening players. Suppose an opening batter hits a century and then comes a finisher who plays a magnificent knock then we for sure will appreciate more to the finisher becoz of its recent happening. Genuinely this is none of us mistakes but it do steals the credit of the opener almost all the time.

i had different perception of Gautam Gambhir before this interview.. i dont follow crocket.. so for me he was just a cricketer who came into politics after retirement like any bollywood person... but the way he answered all questions has broken the previous image but lets see how does it go in future before i can have image as strong politician for him.. all the best to Gautam
