Genuine cricket lovers know what Gambhir did in 2007 & 2011 WC. But for me, he was one of the finest test openers along with Sehwag which led India to retain no 1 spot from 2008 to 2010.

I have always admired Gautam Gambhir for his fearless cricket, his batting style and his determination to score runs for India. I am not a big fan of Dhoni, and do feel that he didn't give good farewells to legends like Laxman, Sehwag, Gambhir, Zaheer and Harbhajan. As a sportsperson I admire Gautam, but I don't like him as a person. First of all, the ideology of BJP is to create social disharmony. How can a person who is so well traveled and who has met people from all the world believe in the ideology of BJP. Secondly, he never cared to vote in any elections in India until he contested in an election. I don't believe that he was always on tour during the elections prior to 2019. He had opportunities to vote for MCD, Delhi Vidhansabha and Loksabha elections. But, he couldn't vote even once. He said that he wanted politicians to do good, but he never voted before 2019. The fundamental duty of a citizen is to elect a political leader. He didn't attend a meeting called on the pollution. He is busy with cricket commentary. Once you're elected to the parliament, it should be his priority to attend the parliament sessions. He should ask questions in the house and engage in debates. I criticized Sachin when he was a Rajya Sabha MP. He was nominated to do good, but he hardly attended the RS sessions. People who honestly wants to do public service should serve as our MP/MLA. These celebrities just talk and don't do much. Gautam may seem outspoken and transparent, I don't see a lot of honesty in his replies. I hope that he proves me wrong and works for the good of his constituency.

Suppose an opening batter hits a century and then comes a finisher who plays a magnificent knock then we for sure will appreciate more to the finisher becoz of its recent happening. This is based on the pressure and the WC final is the most pressure game. 2011 when we lost Viru and Sachin it was his courage which made us win. I have always admired Gautam Gambhir for his fearless cricket, his batting style and his determination to score runs for India. I am not a big fan of Dhoni, and do feel that he didn't give good farewells to legends like Laxman, Sehwag, Gambhir, Zaheer and Harbhajan. As a sportsperson I admire Gautam, but I don't like him as a person. First of all, the ideology of BJP is to create social disharmony. How can a person who is so well traveled and who has met people from all the world believe in the ideology of BJP. Secondly, he never cared to vote in any elections in India until he contested in an election. I don't believe that he was always on tour during the elections prior to 2019. He had opportunities to vote for MCD, Delhi Vidhansabha and Loksabha elections. But, he couldn't vote even once. He said that he wanted politicians to do good, but he never voted before 2019. The fundamental duty of a citizen is to elect a political leader. He didn't attend a meeting called on the pollution. He is busy with cricket commentary. Once you're elected to the parliament, it should be his priority to attend the parliament sessions. He should ask questions in the house and engage in debates. I criticized Sachin when he was a Rajya Sabha MP. He was nominated to do good, but he hardly attended the RS sessions. People who honestly wants to do public service should serve as our MP/MLA. These celebrities just talk and don't do much. Gautam may seem outspoken and transparent, I don't see a lot of honesty in his replies. I hope that he proves me wrong and works for the good of his constituency.

It not only just happened with gambhir but also with almost all the opening players. Suppose an opening batter hits a century and then comes a finisher who plays a magnificent knock then we for sure will appreciate more to the finisher becoz of its recent happening. Genuinely this is none of us mistakes but it do steals the credit of the opener almost all the time.
